RE: Ankle.

Spoiler:

I was practicing walking on 7/26 and (with no feeling in the ankle and foot) rolled the ankle. Because I had no sensation, I didn't really thing of it, but the ginormous ball on the left side of my angle kind of gives it away.

And now that sensation is returning to that part of my leg/foot I can really FEEL the crazy pain. The doc called back and said to come in first thing Monday for x-ray. So...on exam, it's a "suspected break" until confirmed (or not) on Monday.

Meanwhile, back to sitting. And...writing.

Well, I'm sending healing vibes your way.

But writing is good.

No, the evil fish has moved on to a better place and the Aquarium is now all sparkly clean and full of tropical fish

Ok, so I know fish having babies all the time, in fact in the past I've frequently discovered baby fish in my aquarium - but this time I ACTUALLY SAW THEM BEING BORN!!!!

She's had loads and is still popping them out......

2. Thanks I cringe when I watch myself sing, which I know I'm pretty good at. So you can imagine the courage I needed to put up something without singing in it. Wine, and lots of it, on minimal sleep from the night before.

I am working the day shift today. I love this new hospital so far. It runs like a hospital and not like a circus. And everyone is really lovely. But because it is 1) Sunday and 2) 9/11 I had to leave my house at 5:30am to get here by 7:30. I'd originally planned to drive until I read that the bridges and tunnels were likely to be a clusterfrak. So I got on the 5:46am R train and trekked to the opposite end of NYC. I should be home by 10pm if all goes well.
