I'm glad to see you have your head on staight about the move. You did more research then I did so brava! My guess is that Vancouver is also a great city for the arts. Give it a look see and you may prove me right. However, it is not a cheap city to live in either. NYC is still probably a lot more expensive, but don't be surprised at the cost of things there as well. Although if you aren't in the center of the city and away for the touristy stuff I am sure you will find housing to be more reasonable. At least you are near where a lot of fruits and veggies are grown, but beware of the taxes there! I wish you the best in your move. I hope it turns out to be even more spectacular than you can imagine.
I've looked very deeply in to cost of living and taxes both of which will be similar to my life here, as will be my salary. So it should even out. The cost of living may be a little to a lot lower depending on where I want to live, but given where I am thinking I want to live, it will likely be a little lower, all things considered. As for taxes. I live in NYC and I pay somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-38% of my income in taxes, and our sales tax is similar to BC's, so I'm already living the dream, lol. Thanks again, Laurie.
How are the woohoos today? Y'all have been quiet! Jumble, everything okay?
FINALLY got my MRI done today. 3rd time's the charm, apparently.
