My parents didn't have Elvis (or brotherhood of man, btw ). Neither of my parents were really into him. There's Neil Diamond, Otis Redding, Glen Miller, the Bee Gees... Some disco. Some other big random artists. And for some reason the soundtracks of Saturday Night Fever and Jesus Christ Superstar.
The people who made that Angelo song are called Brotherhood of man??!
The only name there I recognise is the Bee Gees I've heard of Saturday Night Fever, but never seen it.
Would you believe I only learned of The Carpenters about 2 years ago?
*is still giggling at DM* Just blame it on the computer...
*huggles Jumble* hope you get your computers fixed and the DVD working soon! What kind of error are you getting with the DVD anyway? Perhaps someone in the thread can help you with it

No error message, it simply refuses to acknowledge that there is a disc in the drive

oh I have that too with some of my normal DVDs(legal bought ones) on my acer...I know you have an old acer but is your new(er) laptop also from them? Perhaps it could have something to do with that...I don't know how to solve it other than sometimes rebooting my PC with the DVD in it or sometimes it helps to get it out and do it in again (for me) Other than that I often enough have to be sad about and not watch that DVD in bed... (since my normal DVD player/TV does work)

Both laptops are accepting other discs, both pre-recorded ones and those that I've made myself. Sarai's disc won't play in either, nor on my dvd player, so I think there's a problem with the disc itself I've tried every trick I know, but still no joy Sooo annoying!!!
Maybe we can figure another way for her to send me the pics

Sadly, there is a lack of concern by people who make/program computers to hold to a standardization. Old items can't see new ones and new ones ignore older things. Companies put a prioritization on their systems then say but we didn't do anything. However, all they want you to do is buy what they say and only use their products. It really is a pain when you work for a company. You are forced to buy all the same or run into this problem more times than not. Sometimes the only answer is to buy cheap because they don't do those little tricks as often.
Remove old work hat and put it to the back of closet again!
