Yes....I live in Seattle and I drive to Vancouver.....by the time you check into the airport and wait and wait, etc.... Well I might as well drive. In fact if Jumble makes it here next summer, we are contemplating a field trip!

Ah awesome! I have a few friends in the Seattle area. It was right at the top of my list before I spent 10 days in Vancouver and learned about midwifery in Canada this summer. After that, my heart belonged to Vangroovy.

That's a DEFINITE!!! I've been checking on flights and the prices are coming down! WooHoooood!!! Just need to time it so I get the cheapest I can Most of them involve a stopover in Vancouver

Anywoo, I'm drawing up my list of holiday dates as we speak....... February needs several days off, then 23rd to 30th July for Seattle and then 20th to 27th August for the Peak District WooHooMeet!

That'll still leave me about ten days to take if something else crops up

Afternoon WooHoo's

It was a very long morning at the doctors. Got there at 8:30 and got home at 11:30. Complete physical. Good news is my heart is extremely healthy. Doc was happy with the 24 lb weight loss too. My blood pressure is too low for anything helpful with the migraines so I am still stuck taking the two pills that stop a headache from becoming a migraine (some of the time ).

The not so good news is that when a doctor is feeling your neck and says the words "that doesn't feel right" your heart kind of leaps into your throat. Especially since your big bro' had tongue and throat cancer. When I get back from vacation (possibly before if they can schedule it) I will have to get an ultrasound. There is only one specialist that she trusts to do the job right so I will have no choice but to venture into New Haven. I don't like driving into New Haven.

Other than that all is well.

Can't wait until next year! I finally get to meet my fellow WooHoos! "bounces*

Okay....minor correction here.....went into my 2011 calendar to mark dates. 8/21 is a Sunday.....8/20 is the Saturday!

For those of you that don't know, this Saturday is the anniversary of the day I became engaged to Michael. And oh boy, didn't we have fun on the thread the next day when I announced it And he came on the thread to chat to everyone and got huggled to bits by my lovely WooHoo friends, which he thoroughly enjoyed

Unfortunately, a few weeks later he met a drunk driver on a wet night and a week after that he died from his injuries. I miss him. I will always miss him.

This vid is dedicated to all the wonderful people who have pulled, pushed and dragged me through this last year since I lost Michael. To all those who have sent me virtual hugs and kind words, to all those special friends who have held me while I cried, and to all those who have lifted me and made me smile (even if you didn't know it ) -- a heartfelt THANK YOU!

That was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for posting this, because I was aware of a loss, but not the full story. I wasn't around when this all happened and would like to hug you many times from then until now. You can't move until I'm done.

Glad there was some good news. I had the same thing with my doc feeling my neck. He felt something in there. It turned out to be a suspicious nodule in my thyroid that needed to be removed. After testing, they found out it was benign. The scary thing was I didn't have a voice for six weeks. Everyone else enjoyed it though. I will be praying for you during this.

Oh, it's not all bouncing and happy dancing around here all the time. We all have our down days, and we like people to share those with us so we can offer comfort. I've been told off lots of times for staying away because I was down And believe me, you really don't want a real WooHoo telling off

Did I have the dates wrong? So does that still mean you'll be here for the 7 days? You can always come over on the Friday, then I can pick you up at the airport and drive us both up to the Peak District on the Saturday........... does that work?

That's what happened to me. Straight to ultrasound after my doctor's appointment. It showed a nodule and then straight to biopsy the following day. But I would assume they would be a little more cautious with your family history and have it done right away.

Bree, glad things went OK at the doctors, and as Jumble says, I'm sure they'd be rushing you in for the ultrasound quicker if they thought it was really serious
