Phew! Well...sort of phew! At least it's back to the original airing schedule.

As for horoscopes/readings...I belief in them too! I didn't have one myself(yet) but I know my dad went to a reading just before he met my mom and so far everything was correct

I don't know if any progress has been made on the adoption front or not. But, I can call the caseworker today and pester her about it. Maybe she'll answer the phone since it's no longer a holiday week! Plus, the Family Services office is finally open again so I can drop off paperwork. We're thinking of expressing interest in another situation, too.

I'm promising myself a nice, long nap after I drop Girl-kid off at school. I had housework planned for today, but I just need some Zs!

Me too But yeah, I don't think we should say on here either - that's up to Sarai really how much she shares publicly, as it were. But we can reassure everyone as you said that she's OK, not hurt or anything

It's ok really . It's not like we've done anything wrong, it's just such a nightmare! Although I'm much less upset than I was earlier .

For those of you that don't know...

My landlady came around today to tell us that her house is being repossessed and the bailiffs are coming on Wednesday (apparently she has known this for some time but failed to impart this to us ). Since she owns the house we live in technically the bailiffs have to assume that the items in it also belong to her. We can show the tenancy agreement and prove they aren't but they would be taken and then we'd have to get them back (can you believe that !!)

There still might be a chance she can save both properties by selling her business but as far as I'm concerned that could take months and I'd rather not be involved with someone who's in such a dire financial situation. Dave and I have decided to cut our losses and move out, only that means finding a new place within the next few days and relying on the good grace of local friends and family to help us out .

Really though you find out who your friends are at a time like this and the response I've had on FB has been phenomenal. And even though you guys are far away I can't thank you enough either, it means so much to me that you wood even offer. Like I keep saying to Dave, we'll be fine, it's not as if it's our house that is being repossessed. Even though I'm fuming with our landlady, I do feel sorry for her as she is losing everything

Of course we wood want to help, and all your other friends too! It's monstrous that this should happen to you

It's still your 'home', even though it's not your 'house', and you're still losing it.

I hope you can at least get back whatever rent and deposit you've paid her? Technically, she's defaulted on your Tenancy Agreement, and she really has no excuse to have not told you sooner. My feeling is that it just doesn't add up (that's my ex-legal brain kicking in ), and I'm very suspicious of her true motives. Please get some legal advice. Even though you probably woodn't want the house back now, you should make sure you get back whatever money she owes you.
