So last night at Anderson's I forgot my camera So these pics were taken with my phone and are not brilliant

Starters


Sateed Mussel Meat with Cream and Mustard, served with Crusty Bread
(Mike had this. My experience of mussels is limited to those little dishes that you get at the seaside, drowning in vinegar (yuck!) but I tasted these and was very pleasantly surprised. Yummy!


Potted King Prawn made with Smoked Paprika, Lemon and Spices, served with Cheese Scones
This was mine and the b/f's. Mmmmmmmmmmm....
Er...... the prawns, not the b/f.


Smooth Chicken Liver Pate, topped with Spiced Blackcurrant Jelly and served with Crusty Bread
This was thoroughly enjoyed by Suz...

Large Roasted Field Mushroom, topped with Goat's Cheese, Sun Blush Tomatoes and Pine Nuts
Mike's Mum loved it!

Mains


Pan Fried Rump Steak, topped with Brie and served on Honey Roasted Parsnips...

Mike, his Mum and her b/f all raptured over this


Roast Turkey, Apricot and Sage Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets, Spiced Orange and Cranberry sauce,
Roast Potatoes, gravy and.....


... Vegetables.
Suz and I both had this. Stuart knew I didn't like turkey breast, so he made sure I got some nice chunky slices of leg meat. Yummy!
His Apricot and Sage stuffing is amazing! I had pork stuffed with it last time, when Cags and Josiane were here. Gorgeous!!!

Can you believe I totally forgot to take pics of the desserts?????

Suz and I had homemade mince pies with custard and cream, which were an absolute dream. Mike and his mum had Toffee Meringues filled with fresh cream. These were not the little swan versions that you get with the trio. Oh no, these were ENORMOUS Neither of them could finish theirs on their own and ended up sharing The b/f had the Lemon Crunch that I had last time....

We had a really lovely evening, despite a lot of the conversation being about what the others have allowed themselves to be guilted/browbeaten into doing with their Christmasses Mike's Mum was very envious of my dowhattheheckIlike type of Christmas
