I got my laptop back, but the problem could only be solved by completely wiping the hard disk and re-formatting it, so I've just spent three hours re-installing all my programs
...
My littlest child started walking today, and as I was watching her walk away from me I thought the wiggle looked familiar. Took me a while to realise where I'd seen it before........
A warning to all you Vista users - if the Windows automatic update prompts you to install Vista Service Pack 1 DON'T!!! Apparently it often conflicts with other stuff on the pc and completely screws it up You don't need it, so it's better not to install it
*puts hand up*
I have a computer with that service pack ...already for a long while!! I don't have any problems with it*shrugs*

It doesn't happen every time, but it's a risk not worth taking. It just cost me £40 to get it fixed and I lost everything that was on my hard drive. Good thing all the important stuff is stored on my external hard drives
I'm seriously thinking about a new laptop, a bigger screen and a lot more memory and speed. I'm definitely not going near an Acer again, this one has been a pain in the butt What make is yours?
Aww cute and rofl that it looks like the Asgard walk!!!
Loving all the signatures.
Most kids start off with that stiff-legged swing from the hips type of walk

Not being talked to, but I highly recommend Dell or HP.
Being original is difficult when you can't stop quoting your favorite tv show, For crying out loud!

'Toshiba' if you want quality. 'ASUS' are quite good too. (I've been using it for over a year with no problems... because I couldn't afford the Toshiba).
And just for the record. Vista is the source for all things evil in the Universe!
And no 'nice'?
...Martin really is to make art out of.
That's better

Really? It's really hard to choose I've heard Dell = Doesn't ever last long Don't know about HP. I've been recommended to get a Toshiba, because they hardly ever end up in the shop with problems, and the Customer Care is supposed to be brilliant. I need to do more research
