Someone must have really riled up Ol' Mother Nature - she is huffing and puffing outside. Tried to go to bed earlier but the wind was so loud I couldn't fall asleep! Suppose to stay this way for tonight and into the day. And then there are the torrential rains! Think I will stay in all day tomorrow! Maybe I can get something done in the house but I've really been so lazy recently - look inside my house and you would understand.
Sounds like you're getting a dose of our recent weather - stay safe

Thanks and trust me, I am! I only look outside - have no intention of going out there! Hoping it lessens by Monday (which it should) so I can run some errands and get outside. But nice and cosy inside for the weekend!
It's not unusual for people to lock themselves out of their houses, I've done it a few times myself, but just to be 'different', I am currently (half) locked in The mechanism on my back door went kerplunk when I shut the door yesterday and it now refuses to open. I can't get to the other side of it because, of course, I've left the conservatory key in the lock So I am currently waiting for an engineer to arrive to fix it. Mind you, last time this happened it was the front door that went kaput, which was a lot more inconvenient - it meant I had to go through the alleyway (assuming my neighbour hadn't bolted the gate) and in through the conservatory, the door to which is not wide enough to get the double buggy through so I had to get the littlies out and fold it up every time
*sigh*
And that's the most exciting thing to happen to me for quite some time - such is life

I giggled.
Isn't it illegal to block the entry to the alleyway by bolting a door? Fire hazards and all?
Being original is difficult when you can't stop quoting your favorite tv show, For crying out loud!
Yes, I thought you probably wood - I arrange these little mishaps just to put a smile on your face
I don't think it's actually illegal, but to have my back door stuck is because that's my fire exit. I like to have the alleyway gate bolted because it's a safeguard for the children when they're out in the garden - can't let the little buggers darlings escape And of course I do normally have the ability to unbolt it myself if I need to go out that way, just not while the doors are stuck
