Oh dear, all a bit of a mess hey? Sorry to hear you won't be going now after all Deeds.

I had kind of talked myself out of going to the talk, on the basis that it was going to be tight to get in for 11.15 and it's not as if I haven't seen Amanda before or won't again. So actually them doing the refunds automatically saves me having to queue up to sort that out on the day and more time to look around. But it sucks for people who've effectively had their tickets unilaterally cancelled It would be good if they could let you part exchange the photoshoot ticket for an Amanda only one, for example, as I bet some people will have chosen the joint one over the individual and now might not get one with Amanda at all.

Whoa, Claudia Black didn't last very long. Sorry for those going to the con - not going to be quite as good as I expected it would have been. Hope they find someone really really quick!

As they're offering talk refunds I doubt they will now...probably cut their losses and with a Con the size of that one there are enough non-Stargate fans to fill the queues for all the other guests....sadly it's a common occurrence with these sort of multi ones....always a risk if you're a one-fandom person like me...

I have met Amanda a few times now and it's not really worth me spending out money on more autographs and I make no secret of the fact that I go to cons mainly to see Michael, so for me it's a no-brainer..get my talk money refunded, cut my loss on the entry tickets, save the train fare, spend my birthday with my family (Yikes!!! ) and save my pennies for Michael and Lexa in October...


It's going to be a hot one and Wimbledon is now calling, as is my sunbed, a glass of rhubarb infused vodka and pie!!!....

Yeah....Claudia has now cancelled due to family problems...the Saturday a.m. talk tickets will be refunded to accounts after the show now....

I'm not going now....so I won't see you guys there...there's no need for me to go and all I'll lose is 2 early bird entry tickets.....

Yes I heard about that..poor grand old lady..she's been up for a long time and held many a good Exhibition.....Winter LFCC is being held at Olympia down the road, which I've also heard rumours of knocking down too, and is a bit of a bugger to get to as the train that goes there isn't as frequent as other tubes....but I shall be there if the Family Shanks attends for sure....if the weather hadn't been forecast as so good I'd have probably still gone, but weighing up a crowded hot, sweaty, smelly trip to London against a glass of chilled wine/vodka in the garden, some nice Indian food and Wimbledon as well as my family, it's bye bye sweaty London!!

Yeah I was a bit sad to hear about that. And surprised really, because it's such a major venue and so very well used. Admittedly quite old now though so could do with being redeveloped to an extent. I would say more housing in the area would be a good thing but none of it will be affordable to normal folk so it'll just be more high class / expensive housing for high flyers - which isn't really what's needed on London.
Either way both Earl's Court and Olympia are a doddle to get to for me. 35 minutes on the tube. Frankly the only reason I was going to LFCC in the first place was for a nice cheap day out with my little man; being a child he doesn't pay for the tube and I get it for free too (advantage of being married to someone who worked for London Transport most of his life) so it was, literally, costing me the low ticket price and lunch. Spent a bit more than that now... er... it's all Amanda Tapping's fault!

Just wanted to wish all those at LFCC a wonderful day!...it's going to be steamy up in London, so take plenty of cool drinks, a fan and try and sit down wherever possible....enjoy Amanda and have fun!...


I'm going to go out for a nice drive to either the country or the coast, or maybe use my National Trust/English Heritage membership and visit Chartwell or somewhere similar in my region....


And tomorrow I celebrate my birthday with my lovely family....my son's fiancee returned from Berlin last night from a modelling photo shoot so he's happy, I have wine a curry & strawberries, Murray's in the final at Wimbledon and the sun is out already...I think it's going to be a good weekend!..
