I just had to come in here and share my good news.

I'm going back into the workforce! It's only a temporary position but it's a job with a paycheck! I never thought I'd be so happy about working again. I'm crossing my fingers that it works into something permanent so I can go back to having medical benefits again. Tuesday can't come fast enough.

Rubbish day here too Laurie. Er, I mean day to take the rubbish out, not rubbish. The day itself has been quite productive. 40 mini cupcakes made, one big cake iced and decorated ready for the little man's big day tomorrow.
We had a hilarious conversation when he got home from school today...

Ben: Mummy, have you made my cake?
Me: Yes, Ben, it's all done.
Ben: Can I see it or is it supposed to be a surprise?
Me: Well, it would be nice if it was a surprise but it's your choice, you can see it if you want.
Ben: I want to see it... no I don't.... yes I want... oh no... (cue confused face and lip biting).
Me: Ben, if you see it, you can see it. But once you have, then you can't unsee it. It's your choice. Do you understand?
Ben: Ok.
Me: Do you want to see it?
Ben: Yes... (cue more lip biting and confused looks)
Me: But you want me to tell you you can't don't you?
Ben: Yes.
Me: OK, you can't see it.

Cue one satisfied boy.
