And I'm not sure about that. The early Advent days are creeping up and all I've been doing is write.

Hmmm. I can figure out what a cheese square probably is, but what is a jam roly-poly? Last night I made a turkey breast (for dinner tonight) and a pumpkin pie (traditional Thanksgiving fare). Both turned out really good. That is the only part of a holiday I like - the good food (even if I had to cook it myself! ) In fact, I think I'll make some gravy and have some turkey! Yummm!

BTW - Jumble - even if you don't like making the "negative" stuff, I really like the one you did!

I've been so busy in the past couple of weeks (what's new?) but I just wanted to rush in and say that I own a car, I knew I was getting it for a while but from today I actually own it. Paid for, signed for, taxed, etc, by little me.

I'm going to, hopefully, spend time in it so I can get more practice so I can pass my test quicker. My instructor thinks I'm ready to take a mock test (), I just feel like I'll freak on the actual exam. I do.

Gonna quickly try to catch up on soooo many pages. Chatty WooHoos

Had a very good day with family and friends - good company and good food. Lots to be thankful for. Tomorrow afternoon I go with my daughter and granddaughter to our annual trip to see the Nutcracker ballet.

The were meant to be cheese straws, but I couldn't be bothered to make that many cuts

Jam roly-poly is usually made with a suet sponge, spread with jam and rolled up before baking and served with custard - my version was made with ordinary shortcrust pastry instead but tasted just as good

I often spend at least as much time on elements as I do on composition/finished product. For example, the manip of Jack and Sam in the cabin looking at wedding pictures. I spent a lot of time on the whole room, even though the figures cover up a great deal of it, because I can always use it again now. I probably should work more on my composition, but I'm just not that artsy.
