Good luck with the German learning Jann! I have a friend who's learning it. Doesn't look easy! (And she's on her fourth language. I'm having a hard time with two and a half... The half being Spanish - learned it and beginning to forget it. :/)

THREAD MEMORIES

Well Ladies and Gentle people - Jumble's life is now complete. She not only met up with Martin Wood, but he told her he knew all about her and gave her a fantastically long hug and kiss on the cheek. Jumble is floating up so high she can see heaven. Pictures to follow in a few days. And we haven't even gone to the set yet.

*squeeees loudly for Jumble too*!!! Thanks for letting us know, Laurie, I was on tenterhooks wondering how she got on! Awwww isn't Martin nice? I mean, I know we knew he was anyway, but that just double confirms it *huggles Jumble and Martin* *bounces off the ceiling*

*blinks* ...She's not coming back, is she?

I thinks you're right Nad, there's no waaaaay she's coming home now

Edit: *suddenly realises how completely wonderful Martin is for making Jumble so happy*

Oh, don't say that out loud! She was protective of him before, but now she will never let us near him again... *shakes head*

*delurks to share in Jumble's joy* How absolutely mind blowingly wonderful! Despite our insanity Martin has seen her for what she really is - his biggest fan - AND he made it a point of finding her to say thank you. How truly awesome is that? We all knew he was wonderful but isn't this the best proof of all? I can't wait to see those pictures. It must have been the squee that was heard around the world and it couldn't happen to a better person. Oh Jumble you lucky, lucky girl! I'm so happy for you!

OMG I can't tell you how delighted I am seeing those pics!!! I have the BIGGEST grin on my face right now and I'm actually crying for her I'm that happy! No-one deserves it more.

Phew! Catching up on here has taken forever!!!! Martin has not been on the thread himself, but he knows about it because his lovely wife, Dianne, has been watching all our fun and blatant thunking of her awesome husband for some time When he told me that I said 'And she doesn't want to kill me???' But he said no, she thinks it's great that we love and appreciate him so much. He then called her, and handed me the phone so I could talk to her But she was really lovely and told me lots of nice things about him. She did ask how we WooHoos feel about her being married to him, and I told her that we've managed to learn to tolerate it She's a lovely lady. If you're lurking Di, *huge squishy hugs* for that chat.

Hey look! Our Awesome Martin has an Awesome Wife! How cool is that?

He did say that he really should come and have a look at the thread for himself, so I'm hoping that he'll see how much you all appreciate the way he's made me feel so special this last week

I always think English is one of the hardest languages to learn - we have so many words that have several meanings, we break our own spelling rules constantly, and the grammar is totally unpredictable French does at least follow patterns with it's verbs - except for the exceptions of course
