LJ! You been making my Martin nervous and stressed????
*gives Martin an extra special squishy huggle*
It wasn't MY fault! Someone scheduled another huge Dream!tour while we were having our small tour (him, me, and a couple other people), and it was a bunch of school kids for some reason, and they were wreaking havoc, and Dream!Martin was trying to be sweet and nice to the small tour but was really nervous cuz the kids were running around...
Yesterday it was 21C here, beautiful and sunny day to ride my bike to work. By tonight the temperature is to drop to minus7C and we are to get snow. Variety is the spice of life.
Huh, sounds just like the UK. We sometimes get all four seasons in one day too.
I am wondering how much of a summer we'll have this year. There's a lovely Japanese maple tree outside the kitchen window that has yet to get leaves on it. This time last year, it was full of beautiful reddish leaves. And the woods behind the house have yet to get many leaves on the trees so far. This time last year they were also full of leaves. There's a smaller Japanese maple in the front yard that also has barely any new leaves on it.
Well it may catch up. My aquilegias were barely showing new leaf growth a week or two ago and now most are in bloom, right on season. A week or two of very mild/warm/sunny weather was all it took.
I've had an interesting day. 3am (2 hours after I went to bed and about 40 minutes after I finally fell asleep) Benjabubs woke up screaming...I rushed in in a half sleepy panic to find him sitting in a pool of his own sick, poor little soanso. Like any good mother, I stripped the bed, stripped him, washed him, put new bedding on, put him back to bed, sang him a lullaby and soothed him to sleep I stripped the bed, chucked the soiled covers in the bath, and dragged him into my bed mumbling something about dealing with it in the morning. Mind you, the smell this morning almost made me heave... er... He's been out of sorts all day, bless him, and we've both had a PJ day, dozing on an off, but typically he perked up just before bedtime and was running around like a lunatic before I threatened to make Teddy sleep in the conservatory.
Happy Queen's Day Dutchies... ok I'm a bit late there!
*huggles Woohoos*
Looking forward to seeing UK woohoos tomorrow....oh and ANDERSON'S!!!
Ooo WooHoos. Partied hard. I still bet I will wake up with a spring in my step though
The flower bouquet (is that even spelled right? It looks wrong) hit me on the head as I caught it. That's a good thing, right?? Anyway, it was a good day (interesting) and I'm looking forward to tomorrow!
I've gotta get up at 7am so I should do something about this being awake malarky
Ordered Thai food at work tonight. So hot my face was burning and my eyes were watering, but wow good.
Tomorrow Andi and I are going to see "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold" about product placement in movies. It looks great. I'm working overnight, hoping for not too much craziness, but with Saturday nights you never know.
But it did snow when I was in Vancouver 2 weeks ago.
It snowed in this area too, well not at my house but at higher elevations. Seattle starts at ground level and goes up to about 1000'. So sometimes it snows in some areas of Seattle but not others!
But it doesn't last long this time of year! And it is better then a cyclone....poor South!

Yeah but last year we had a heat wave or was the 2 years ago!
Jumble, it's not good at all? Oh well. It's fitting anyway, I seriously doubt I'm next to get married
I'm awake. The people I'm staying with are still in bed and I won't see them before I go. They just told me last night to leave their door unlocked, I think I'll actually lock it and post their keys through the door.
Since Jumble is busy cooking breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, yum!), I'll update you all Sarai has just left, and Wendy is on her way, ETA in a couple of hours
