Don't be fooled by today's warmer weather - it's forecast to get colder and wetter over the next few days
Still significantly warmer than where I came from. The current temp in NYC is -8C with an expected high of -2C. This has been our winter, unfortunately. Much colder than the norm for us. The temps expect here this week are what NYC winters are generally like with a few cold snaps here and there.
And can I ask: How is even Twinings tea better here? They send us the rejected stuff, don't they?
My boss brought in her laptop. It has one humdinger of a virus on it that she got from clicking on a link in Facebook.
I am doing battle with the virus right now and it looks like it's going to be a very long day. I have been at it since 8:30 and have barely chipped away at the danged thing.
*runs in* I don't have long. I'm so busy. Work, uni, trying to pack for AT5. Sorting out things for you WooHoos - to go with the badges! +1 will be here tomorrow and I haven't even made space for her to sleep!
My first question - are we still having a cocktail party on Friday? You may have said so here lately but I can't see every page right now.
Secondly. *huggles those who need it* *huggles for Jann*
Kerry is going to collapse on your floor/your bed when she gets in and SLEEP.
(I haven't had a good nights sleep since...... Thursday? I keep tossing and turning/being awake all night instead)
Dad's cancer has not spread to his lymph nodes so they will be doing the surgery to remove the cancer ASAP. They have to remove 2/5's of his right lung but after all is said and done (surgery, recovery etc...) his quality of life will be much improved. He'll be breathing better.

I think they must It's always puzzled me how tea just doesn't taste as good elsewhere in the world, even if the teabags are the same brand. The only place outside the UK I've ever found decent tea is Australia.

So glad to hear some good news
*huggles Jann* Must have been a scary thing to have happen when you're so far away from home

So glad to hear some good news

Indeed it must have been I picked it up from FB, where she said she was out of surgery and I thought 'WT.... heck' and searched for her previous post.

*huggles Bree* Good news about your dad. Fingers crossed for the surgery.
*is suitably breated by LJ* Um, yeah, i'll get that ticker/sig sorter...er...soon!
Woohoo, woohoos! Those staying here, er, you don't need to bring towels/bedding. I have plenty (unless you have a favourite you like to use). I also have enough shower gel, soap and shampoo to last me until I'm retired - a legacy from the Christmas before Ben was born when everyone thought I'd need to pamper myself when he arrived (not that I had time to! ) So yeah, some pick from my boutique!
(((huggles Jan))) It must have been scary... *sends virtual candy and nekkid hot guys*
Bree I'm so glad to hear about your dad! I mean it's not great but it's not bad either... *hugs* *virtual kick in the cancer* Stupid thing.
