Glad you're settling in and getting on well with your roomie
*rolleyes* I actually travelled light in comparison with my american roommates

I also saw the movie Inception today...pure awesomeness! Really a goooooood movie!

And I met my UT buddy! That was a lot of fun! I even, finally, got my hairdryer*is happy*

Of course I show up after all the woohoos have gone to bed. But I wanted to stop by before I go to bed so there's not too too much to catch up on tomorrow. Just got back from a Yankees game with my roommate and one of our UK Battlestar buddies who is visiting NYC. We had so much fun, though we spent most of the time catching up and chatting rather than actually watching the game.

Days like yesterday at work make me ask myself why I'm leaving at the end of the year, days like today are the 'oh yeah' days. But fun times + beer made it much better.

                2. So... remember last December when I did the makeover/photoshoot that produced this pic?

Today I received the disc containing the pics that we didn't buy at the time. I've uploaded a few to show off
                1. Part of it is that, part of it is the front desk staff that takes 2 hours to register patients. It's SO frustrating!

                2. Jumble, all your pics are gorgeous. And I love the ones of you and your daughter together. That's so special. The only photo I have of just me and mom is from when I was a baby, so it's awesome what you could do that together.

I knew you wood take the bait.

20C is about 68F here in the states.
Since we had over 20-somthing days 90F (32C) or above this summer I think 20C or even 20C+ wood feel positively cool to us.
When we vacation in Disney it's almost always in the 85F-95F (29C-35C) range.
We manage to enjoy it anyway.
No kidding. We had about 3 weeks straight where it was over 100 nearly every day with about 4 or 5 days at 104. I love summer heat, but it's been ridiculous this year. Most of the summer has been over 90 and thick thick thick humidity. I thought I had found paradise the 10 days I was in Vancouver, lol.

Well, I'm going to go to bed soon. 7am comes around way too early for me.

I will catch up later. I am still very sleepy and I pretty much slept all day. Drugs are good.

Thank you everyone for the Extra Special Hugs. It means a lot to me. Woohoos are such great friends.

Surgery went well. I was a little nervous in the beginning when I had to wait for my turn. It didn't take long for them to prep me. They had to shave me in a certain area for a nerve block which was weird. Had a man anethesiologist too. He was good looking though. After that I was out and woke up in recovery with no pain. That nerve block works wonders. Starting to feel a little pain now. They cleaned up the damage in my knee and reconstructed a new MPFL for me. It was from a donor, so they gave me some paperwork to thank the donor family. That made me a little emotional. I am wearing a knee brace right now locked at zero degrees and will start physical therapy soon. I have to wear the knee brace for six weeks where they will change the degree of ROM based on my pain and PT. The doctor said my knee looks good and I shouldn't have a problem with it in the future, at least with patella dislocations.

*goes back and checks what she typed* I wouldn't want to sound loopy and all.

I did too....... oh, you meant the weather? We had gorgeous weather while we were there. Not too hot and low humidity Except for the set tour, where everyone was perspiring freely. How they work in that environment every day without melting is a total mystery to me

Oh Ok, I'll repeat the experience on my birthday too. It'll be mid December and flipping taters but you can crack the ice on the pool first. I'll just snuggle in a nice warm dressing gown with a hot toddy and watch you shiver.
Now who's being mean? I hope you don't mind getting that dressing gown wet, because you'll be joining us in that icy pool

Oh green cars a re so unlucky. My parents ha d a succession of unfortunate ones culminating on the Vauxhall Victor which was so rubbish, she had to leave the engine running when we pulled up at shops or she'd never be able to restart it.
I've had three green cars. First one was an early fuel-injection which got wrecked when my local garage had a leak which added water to the petrol Second one, the automatic transmission was shot so I had to make sure I parked in a position from which I didn't need to use reverse. Because I didn't have reverse Third was the one I wrote off

Now you know why Woody is purple

Thanks Jumble and Oma for the words about statistics. You wouldn't believe how relieved it makes me. I'm generally a cautious person.
You're welcome I find it's usually a good idea to assume that every other driver on the road is an idiot, and therefore to be avoided

Jumble, those pictures look amazing. You look even more awesome than ever! It's amazing.
I wanna make me look that pretty in a picture.

Josi, I prefer the heat, too. I'm always chilly like woah! I'm missing summer!
