Is it ironic that the reason I am only just getting in here and reading your post is because of the danged migraines. Had a bad one today and just couldn't do anything more than feel sorry for myself. Also felt bad for Charmaine. We only have the weekends together and today was a bust. I get the paralysis on the lower part of my face but only occasionally. I am grateful for that because it is frightening when it happens and make communication difficult. The first time it happened with one of my new employees it terrified the poor thing. Most of the time, with the bad ones I get a tingly numbness in my lower face (especially around my mouth) but it doesn't hinder my ability to speak. he scary part for me is that I have been getting bad headaches every single day now and they turn into migraines at least three or more times a week. Calling out of work is not an option but working when it's bad is pure torture.
I'm truly sorry that you get them too (((Nik))). they are no fun at all.
I feel so bad for you, Bree. Having them several times a week must be so hard on you and not having the opportunity to do anything about them while at work. My mind completely shuts down, so I don't know how you do it. The tingling sensation is just the beginning for me. It is the strangest feeling, like a loss of control, when you can't move your face or your arm. I hope you find a solution for them, because no one should have to go through that.
I know how you both feel. I've been getting migraines constantly for two years now and they are slowly driving me mad. The worst thing I get when they begin is the nausea. I also get the tingles and I sometimes slur my speech. The worst part is my doctors have told me it is something I'm going to have to put up with for the rest of my life.
*Runs with Torzy and passes her, didn't want to stare at your nekkid bum the whole time*
*Sees Nik overtake her, tries to catch up, collapses in a heap*

It seems like once you have a migraine, that you are stuck with them.
*catches up with Torzy, leaps over her body and speeds off* Try to catch me, I am very fast.

These are awesome, Bree! I don't understand the RDA thing, he was a producer in the past. Doesn't that make him an honorary PTB?
*big hugs* for Bree and all the Woohoos who suffer from migraines - I remember us talking about this a couple of months ago, when I had one last, and so many of us do They are evil, EVIL things I'm so glad I don't get them very often, having them three times a week must be torture
*runs in nekkid, but wearing a big ol' fluff ball because she is cold*
I'm soooo not used to the South end of Australia! I used to live in the sunbrun capital of the world and now I'm wearing a jumper! (well, I would be if I wasn't nekkid running with a fluff ball )

The migraines are something I've been living with for 20 years now. When you have any type of chronic pain you lean to live with it and you find ways to deal with it. When you have a migraine, especially a bad one, there is no getting away from it, which is why it's torture at work, but I do use physical therapy tricks and meds to help ease them. Not ideal because neither works 100% but it gets me through the day. I am also lucky in that I control my schedule and work the earliest hours for most day of the week. It's quieter in the day. I guess what I am saying is that you learn how to deal with it because ultimately you have no other choice. Unless they come out with a med that actually works 100% for me. Looking forward to that day.
The RDA thing is just our way of teasing RDA thunkers.

Oh and Bree, love the avis, so cool!
Thanks Josie.
Loved the Goblet of Fire too! All the books in fact, except for the last one which I haven't read yet. I keep putting it off. It's a mental thing. I know it's the last one and I don't want it to end. *sigh*
Kind of like watching "Unending" on SG1.
*huggles nekkid WooHoo's and huggles WooHoo's....nekkid*
Congratulations on 69 post Yessika!!!
