*groans and clutches head in rememberance of Woo Woo cocktails with a twist*
Seriously, one of the drunkenmost nights of my student years was when we made a massive vat of Woo Woo, only we added orange juice as well as the cranberry, vodka and peach schnapps, and didn't exactly measure things all that well, and ended up with a tooth-rottingly sweet pink concoction that was absolutely lethally alcoholic Good night though... *reminisces fondly*
I think Cags should spend all her spare time perfecting the WooHoo cocktail and bring gallons of it to the Shipmeet
We-ell. I could replace the schnapps with absinthe. I still have about a quarter of a bottle left (foul, disgusting, varnish stripping gut rot that it is, but gosh wasn't that a good night. )
I don't mind perfecting the recipe though. My alcohol stocks are rather depleted these days, mind, so it might have to be just whatevers in the cupboard. There's some foul tasting sweet Greek liquer there... hmm...
How's the littlies? Have they hyped down a bit yet?
Cake pictures:
Spoiler:
This is the one I made for his first birthday. Benjabubs has / had a big thing for penguins so I drew an outline of one, traced the component parts onto greaseproof paper then made some icing, then coloured it, then cut it all out, then carefully placed it on the cake...
...thus proving I can decorate cakes - I just can't bake them.
His second I got a bit too ambitious though. I made him an In The Night Garden cake.
ITNG for the uninitiated...
Spoiler:
In The Night Garden is a children's tv series featuring a blue thing that's clearly on uppers since he never sleeps and is always hyper, a pink thing that had OCD and a *cough* young lady who kisses everything all the time, whose skirt raises when she gets excited and has a bed that follows her everywhere...
There's also the Haahoos (obviously the result of someone's bad acid trip), the Pontypines (need to be reported to child protection because they are always losing their hoarde of children) and the tombliboos (who drink too much pinkyponk juice and indecently expose themselves at every opportunity... ok they take their trousers off. Even the Pinky Ponk (kind of floating airship thing) has a massive... boobie on the front of it. At least that's what it looks like to me.
In years to come, people will be whispering about ITNG just like they do about Captain Pugwash now.
I spent ages on it but by morning Igglepiggle had gone a bit squishy and Upsy Daisy was a puddle of goo so we trashed it and went and bought one for Marks and Sparks. No pictures for some reason.
