Oh dear, I'd forgotten about them telling him about us
Oh ya. He didn't seemed freaked out at all though.
I haven't been to Joe's blog in a while and it sounds like that's probably a good thing.
It is an unfortunate fact that many folks are much quicker to complain and make negative comments than to compliment. That applies to many aspects of life not just TV. I don't always agree with decisions made by TPTB but I respect their right to make them. It is their show not mine. As a viewer, I have the right to watch or not and the right to voice my opinion but it should be done in a respectful manner.
And if the the worst thing in their lives is what is happening on a TV show then the complainers should consider themselves darned lucky and move on.
Thanks to Pengyn, SamJackShipLover and Mala for the sig.
Well, he was the first thing i thought of when I saw that location.
LOL!
I'm sure that's it and not at all because it was a cheap and easy place to shoot.

I don't suppose you'd like to tell exactly what his reaction was? What he said? Yes, I'm grovelling for crumbs again

I just can't understand why people watch the show if they don't like it
Ditto that x1000.
Why oh why! I mean I know I snark about X Files in the last few seasons but it was never without showing respect to TPTB that did give me something I loved for a long time (regardless of how they ballsed it up in the end). And I do appreciate what they were trying to do even if it didn't work for me.
((((Joe))) for the stupid, ignorant, narrow minded, pathetic, idiots who have nothing better to do with their small, sad, pathetic lives than to make other people as miserable as they are.
But more importantly...
Happy Birthday Sarai!
I made a banana cake today and, actually, it wasn't my usual flat and cremated offering although I sacrificed the parsnips as a result. . What birthday is complete without cake.
*hands out virtual slices of cake.*
Sorry, not been around much this weekend. I have spent the week fighting off a lugry but it finally claimed me on Friday; I've spent the best part of the last two days in bed. Thank heavens hubby had the weekend off so I could sleep in on Saturday.

Very good point. That's the reason why I'm not talking much about SGU--something about the premise didn't appeal to me, and although a friend of mine is watching and at times tells me about it, I haven't watched it myself. I personally don't think I'll enjoy it, so I've decided to skip it, but I'm not going to rant about it because after all, I don't know anything about it! I've left some comments on Joe's blog, but I'm just asking him questions because I'm curious about things. I know the first thing he'll say if I decide to criticize SGU (even if I try very hard not to rant) is "You haven't seen it, so how can you criticize it?" And he'll have a good point. What I'm focusing on now is how much good work Joe and the rest did on SG-1, and on SGA. (Although there were some parts of SGA that I really, really didn't like...)

LOL! You realise you are asking me to recall events from months ago! Much harder to do the older I get.
When you see the scene and Helen is standing at the top of the stairs, that's where MW came from. The production offices are to the right (as you look at it) of where Helen is standing. The bathrooms are to the left BTW. MW came down those stairs, a vision in his shorts. He obviously saw us all standing there so stopped to say hi. I mentioned to him that there was a thread on Gateworld dedicated to him (I thought "dedicated to" was better than saying "obsessed with" ) and that the folks on the thread wanted to know his birthday. He wasn't shocked at all and I don't recall exactly what he said but it was basically that he didn't know why it was such a big deal and that it was no secret. Then he mentioned it was January 19th. Then someone mentioned (I think it was either the publicist or DK's wife) that AT had jokingly said on JM's blog that it was a secret because of his past life as an international spy and gigalo. Everyone laughed and he asked that we not tell his wife the gigalo part.
After we spoke with him, he went down the lower set of stairs. The door at the bottom (again to the right as you look at it) leads off to the studio.
Thanks to Pengyn, SamJackShipLover and Mala for the sig.
*huggles woohoos*
*feels guilty for not catching up on the last 20 pages* I do care, I just need a couple more hours in the day to be able to show it!
Well, we finally got the dress finished - at 5am Saturday morning I told Hannah the next time she wants to make a dress I need more than 3 days notice!! Dave's costume on the other hand, took me all of 2 hours to sort out - and 1hr 45 of that was dying the fabric Since his foot is still in a boot cast, he decided to go for authenticity in his medieval costume - he went as a beggar They both looked great and had a fun time, so it all turned out well in the end.
Did everyone have fun on halloween? The kids loved carving their pumpkins and took it in turns to hand out the goodies for the Trick or Treaters We seem to be getting more and more every year! We had a least 50 kids knocking on our door!
I'm going to show my total ignorance in broad daylight...er threadlight? ...for a minute.
SGU
Spoiler:
I didn't see the re-run of the first SGU ep, so I (thankfully) didn't see the muchtalkedaboutinspoilersthatIohsofaithfullydidn'tclickonsex scene. But I am rather curious as to who was in the closet with Chloe...

Oh, Damian's wife was there? I have a picture of Damian, at Vidfest '07, at the Sanctuary screening there, and he's sitting next to a blonde woman who looks about his age. I don't want to sound weird, but I was curious whether that was his wife or someone who works on the show. (The woman in the picture I have, coincidentally, looked a bit like Miranda Otto. http://www.miranda-otto.com/gallery/...bum=101&pos=55 So did his wife look like that, can you remember?

SGU:
Spoiler:
No, commander...What's-his-facey...Scott (?) was in the closet with one chick at the beginning of Air I, then he and Chloe were together in Light. And the online fandom goes nuts...*sigh*
I'm sure that's it and not at all because it was a cheap and easy place to shoot.
Haha, no. That couldn't be the reason.
And about Joe's blog:
That is exactly why I try not to read opinion posts about shows any longer. Not for SGU, which I'm not quite enjoying, and not for Sanctuary which I am loving. I know that most people can discuss in a perfectly fine way, but the extreme rants that almost make me feel like an idiot for liking an episode really put me off. I'm all for discussion and different opinions, but experience has taught me to revel in my own world.
And the fact that some actors and PTB acually have to see that stuff makes me sad. I once again will add that I love this thread where love rules.
Being original is difficult when you can't stop quoting your favorite tv show, For crying out loud!

I will expound upon this and put up the link to the original picture of the Sanctuary screening. (Don't know why I didn't think of that earlier...)
Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes, was trying to multiquote but I'm on a friends laptop and really struggling with not having a mouse!!
Having a really fun day, just getting ready to go out on the tiles, hopefully I won't end up on the tiles but my track record for drinking without falling over is pretty slim !
*huge squishy huggles to everyone*
*extra huggles for Joe and SGU Cast/Crew* Some people are just so hateful
Need to run, people are handing me wine (woohood!), not working late tomorrow night so hopefully I'll be around more to play!
EDIT: Cags hope you're feeling better soon, this lurgy is catching us all out *hugs*
