A month after the move to the dedicated server, the hard drive failed and
the site had to be uploaded once again. Fortunately there was no major loss
of information, but I had to rebuild this mailing list from scratch using
old records, which means that some of your previous configurations or
passwords may no longer work and a few subscribers may have been lost. I'll
post information again at the bottom of this message should you need to
unsubscribe, change your address, or edit your information.
In the meantime, there have been a number of additions made to the site
during this past week.
RDA got in touch again with another phone call on July 4th, and shared
what's been going on lately in his life.
You'll also find some new information and images from the launch of
Stargate's tenth season, including an updated episode guide, information
about the upcoming episodes in which RDA will appear, and images from the
party that the SciFi Channel threw to celebrate Stargate at the Television
Critics Association press tour.
I've also added a few more new images from RDA's appearances at the charity
events in Lake Louise this past January and in San Diego this past June. I also have some lovely pictures to share from RDA's rafting trip in Quebec which he took last August.
And I've added a new item to the "Store" - the Stargate SG-1 Ultimate Visual
Guide. I'm pleased to announce that I was the writer for this book, a
project that I have been working on for a long time that is finally on its
way to bookshelves. It is a hardcover full color book that is intended as a
resource for the series and should work well for both the novice and the
established fan. It includes story background and character descriptions as
well as details that fans often ask about - a Goa'uld dictionary, an Unas
dictionary, a Goa'uld family tree, Jaffa tattoos, the military medals and
ribbons and what they mean, an SGC floor plan, labeled images of the
weapons, gate addresses, and so on. It even includes a foreword written by
Richard Dean Anderson. It was completed while season 9 was in production, so it includes seasons 1 through 8, with just a touch of season 9 on the final
page, but I've squeezed as much information as possible into those pages.
The anticipated publication date is some time in the fall, but it is
available already for preorder from both Amazon.com and AmazonUK, and using the links on the "Store" page to place an order helps to support the site.
