You can keep up to date at the Stargate Worlds Forums and the Stargate Worlds website.
Right now, the thoughts are that it will come out in Q4 of 2008, though that can always be changed if more work is needed on the game by then.
You can register for a chance at the beta simply by registering for the forums.
