              Why do you fight over alien names spelling?

              They're alien.. so originally, they are not spelled with a latin alphabet..
              The phonetic transcription of alien words (from other planets, or even from Earth chinese, russian, arabic, greek, etc...) to a latin-based language can't be so strict.

                In real life, perhaps. However, things the correct spelling in TV shows is the spelling used by the writers.

                      Again, the program makes the rules - their spelling is the official spelling. Who knows, that might evolve and become something else, but that all happens within the show's canon. It isn't how we want to say it.
