    why didn't todd suspect that it was intentional

    when todd was saying that sheppard "owed" him help since it was atlantis' actions that caused the disease, he's assuming that it was in fact unintentional and the team was trying to help. why didn't todd even consider the possibility that the whole thing was in fact engineered to kill the wraith? it would be practical for the humans because not only does it cause a fatal disease, it stops them from feeding so the pegasus population remains untouched while the wraith die off.

    Because Todd was the one who completed the research. They couldn't have planned out how the wraith would have tried to perfect it or that they would implement it on as many wraith at the same time as they did.
