Before season 4 started, after hearing (or avoiding) the various rumors and spoilers, I was:

two eps I would re-watch. The very first two with Wier and her taking on oberon.

I think season 4:

Started out good and got worse...really fast!



After viewing season 4 I think that:

It was worse than I expected...far worse than I expected.

Pessimistic...to non existent. I honestly don't give a rat's behind about this show anymore.

I am planning on:

I will watch the two Daniel eps...and that probably all.

gee...made me realize just how fast this show tanked. I really was looking forward to having Sam come in as command. Wier having a real arc. Carson's return. McKay's sister coming back...but everything I was looking forward to...just didn't work for me.

Oh goddess, I just finished watching Dr. Who season 3... Holy hell, now that was a rollercoaster-ride worth mentioning! Jee, I was literally on the edge of my seat, excited as hell. Haven't felt like that in ages.

The soundtrack is on repeat, and I feel great as a Whovian.

I waited quite a while before I started watching season 3 cause Rose, the Doctor's companion and my fave, was no longer going to be there (Billie Piper wanted to leave) ... I didn't know what to think of Martha, the new companion, but she grew on me ... fast, really fast.

Everything Dr. Who gave me - excitement, great storytelling, brilliant character development, awesome effects without killing the budget, emotions, continuity, 3D characters even if they appeared only once in an episode, magic - SGA failed to give me in season 4.

I haven't seen Dr. Who yet. There are however so many confusing DVD releases. Just of the top of my head there are "Beneath the Surface" and "Complete Davros Collection" or something like this. I wouldn't know where to start. Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry, I have only seen the new series so can't help you there, but I think Reefgirl has some knowledge on that. I suggest you turn to her for help.

It is, but between the Eighth and the Nineth Doctor there is quite a gap... Many years passed by before they continued the show. It confuses me too, really... I didn't even like Dr. Who when I first caught it on TV. But boy, did it grow on me fast.

I hear that from so many people that Dr. Who is a great show. I thought about finding that out for myself now. But when I watch a show I like to start at the beginning.

I was never fully anti and my attitude towards S4 was mostly bc of Carter, whose presence simply didn´t work. So now, when she is gone, I will give S5 a chance.
