The finale...meh. A few parts were cool, but over all, rather...meh. McKeller was gag worthy.

I just watched the final cliff hanging, gut wrenching, episode of season4....

It was rather drawn out, kind of boring, got tired of seeing how everyone died...but Dr. Keller. My one thought upon seeing her on her death bed was..."now there's an idea." Long, painful death with only Rodney by her side.

As far as the "romance"....Oh, come on Rodney, you've lowered your standards here.

One plus was seeing Major Lorren get a promotion in 25 years .

However, the highlight of the ep was seeing Mr. Woosley in his new threads. (Lmao...my first thought was...The Doctor from Star Trek) Then my second thought was...Wait, he looked better in the trek uniform.

a whole bunch of emotional events happen...to some alternate future team. That's right, not the real team, a AU team that we'll never see again and I just don't give a damn about. La dee fricking dah.

Also, Teyla turns up..as a corpse! Continuing the trend of s4, Keller has more screentime and "development" (I use development loosely since it's a damn AU version) in this ep than Teyla! Guess we know who TPTB is more interested in!

in depth review of TLM....

Boring ep, very predictable and rather drawn out. Of course, tptb had to play the AU/time travel card and only Sheppard can save them.

This is what I think they should have done:

First they totally wasted a great story arc with Teyla's baby and hybrids. We know Micheal wins this war due to the baby's genetics but that is it. We never found out what became of the baby or what type of civilization rose from the war. Sending shep 45,ooo years into the future was a bit of an overplay. Just needed to send him a hundred years.

Shep getting back tot he past was far too easy considering how hard McKay made it sound. Sheppard fighting sand storm...zzzzz.

Okay, story needed to be about the baby and it's descendants. Did the baby get turned into a hybrid too? What kind of life do they hybrids have? How does that effect earth and atlantis.

I would have liked to have seen Sheppard retrun to the city and find Teyla's grandson as a hybrid and running the place. There would have to be some dark deep secret that hybrid's descendants face, maybe Micheal is king or something.

Anyways the grandson would have to be willing to help Sheppard retrun to the past fully knowing that it will effect his own existance. Maybe he hopes for a better life as a full human, who knows.

If shep meet face to face with king Micheal and Micheal filled him in on the past...it would be far more interesting.

So, yes...it was just a snooze fest!

i am glad its not going to be on tv for a while.. it will be a nice break from hearing 'best evah' at every turn... to bad they won't cancel it once and for all.. Joe F and all the good guys that are left deserve better

They flat-out, spelt-out, bolded and underlined CANONIZED the Rodney/Keller relationship? Like, he admitted it was his love for her that had him reversing the timeline to save her in particular? *headdesk* Seriously ALL OF SEASON 4 IS AN AU! This is nothing like the show I watched for three seasons, the writers aren't even PRETENDING to try and write them consistently anymore. They've avoided specifying clear ships before, now Keller's been with both Ronon and McKay? Why is Keller suddenly the star of the show, shipped with every eligible male? Next thing she'll be cozying up to Woolsey so she can be appointed junior leader of Atlantis or something. Ugh.

Okay, I get that this is an alternate team, so it's not the real Keller and the real McKay. But ew anyway. And what's with killing off all these alternate versions of people? We had Asura!beth, Trekified!Weir, nanite!team Shep, Asuran versions of Keller and Lorne, and I've heard something about Carson clones in Kindred...now this team. I sense the writers are stuck in a rut. I mean, they write off Carson and Weir in agonizing circumstances to add 'jeopardy' to the show, then content themselves with killing off duplicates of the main characters for the rest of the season? It's been done to death. I'm waiting for someone to treat clones with the respect that BSG and Farscape have done. Not reproduce characters en masse and quickly kill them, but develop these duplicates and establish their identities and motivations and how they figure into the galaxy's politics. This is what I wish they'd done with the Trekified!Weir from 'BAMSR'. But even though I'd've loved that, they really need to work on character coherency because this is sci-fi soap at its worst. It's not a credible show to me anymore.
