Yes graduating from uni at 18 suddenly makes her interesting, along with having no friends (I can see why).

Not to mention illegal. No US medical college will accept you unless you are 18 years old. TPTB should admit to making mistakes rather than inventing these crazy excuses.

Last posts were in October... It's been silent ever since. I wanted to revive it with a challenge maybe, or post some of my fic, but I don't write much else anymore (unless it's challenge-fic) except femslash (PG-PG13), starring usually Kate and Teyla. Teyla and Kate, both, have more screentime and words in my fics than on screen.

I've completely stopped writing Atlantis fic now, I've moved on to Torchwood and Ski Jumping Slash, which is not as crazy as it sounds, honest

Give SAM those opportunities and she'll do them too . I fail to see how Elisabeth would do better if she would be written like Sam is now

SAM was given those opportunities, but she failed miserably, IMO. She's too weak and cutesy to be a credible leader.

I think it's in the line delivery & voice quality. Sam to me doesn't carry the same authority in her voice. Weir did. Sam has all sorts of technical genius. For me, none of the qualities to lead a base. She's not a negotiator, peace keeper, occasional psychologist. What Sam does best is find solutions to technical problems. That's her area. She's the one who will give you 10 solutions to your one problem. Weir had/has the human touch that's needed to run the manpower in Atlantis.

I still write fanfic... have multiple bunnies appearing and disappearing on a regular basis. Season 4, however, doesn't really exist in the format we see on TV. TV = AU.
