The Anti Season 4 Thread (Spoilers). For complaints and misgivings ONLY.
Do we know that with Katie for sure, or is that just Anti-ness speaking?
We're not sure but...
Spoiler:
JM's poem (or maybe JM himself) said that Rodney would lose someone (+ DH said it as well), so my guess is Katie. They won't kill Sam, nor any of the main cast, so the bets are on her. It *could* be Jeannie but I doubt that.
Mmm... is this the place I come back to to complain on how if Teyla wants to risk her foetus it's her own bloody right and she shouldn't be told by the male officers around her she's not allowed to?
Pinky, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Yes, I am!

And how everybody is bloody applying Earth standards to an Athosian woman, who isn't from Earth, including TPTB?

It's nothing to do with them being male, it's not a sexist thing. The foetus is a separate entity, dispute being in Teyla’s body, which deserves to live. It’s beyond the embryo stage where abortion is allowed. It shouldn't be placed deliberately in harms way. If anything happens to it on a mission, Teyla's superior John would be held responsible. If a woman choose to go through with a pregnancy, she may have to make certain sacrifices for the sake of the child.

Pajus: Okay, when you're so smart, let's exchange alveolars for one day!
Pitry: Fine!
*2 minutes after exchange made*
Pajus: WOOOOOOOOOW... This is cool! I can feel the rush of oxygen in my blood! Anyway, off to play hockey. See you in the evening *takes hockey stick and skates, leaves*
Pitry: *Breathes a little heavily* Have a good game...
*In the evening*
Pajus: *Returns from playing hockey* Woooow, you should've seen me, girls, I was like a rocket, the other guys in the ring were totally behind me and the goals I scored... Awesome! Thanks, Pitry... Hey, where's Pitry?
Falcon Horus: About two hours after you left, Pitry suffered a pulminary failure and died...
Pajus: Ow... Hey, that means I get to keep these alveolars! Awesome!!!! *dances around*

No, it isn't. Three months is standard to still have abortions.
Oh, and it's still her body and her right, and even if the writers of SGA think differnetly, they shoudl acknowledge there's a controversy on the matter, it's not taken for granted. Ranted more aout it in the episode discussion thread tho

Well it's been covered fairly well, and while I'm not going to comment on any RL implications (coz I don't know what they are and it's not any of my business) but in terms of the show, they could have sidelined the whole issue by just having Dr K medically relieve her. It wouldn't be hard to provide grounds for it (dangerous missions and what not), and would've saved Shep doing it. Then again, Teyla was nearly blown up on Atlantis last year.

Yep, the farther away from Atlantis, the safer you are.
yeah a joke... sorry... just feeling grumpy and depressed tonight
a certain board and some if its people really do my head in...
I miss season 3 of atlantis
maybe there is a smidge of hope... maybe sam and keller will get killed in a terrible wraith invasion and repliweir take over atlantis again and no one will know whether she is good or bad (she will be good of course) but there will be all sorts of team bonding and angst.. and heck maybe we can get decent stories like Sateda again
you guys will let me know if that happens right?

Wraith humour. It could happen. Sam seems to be a lot dumber since she came to Atlantis "on her own ship" I mean gate. And really? Sateda? I don't hate Ronan, in fact I think he has had some good moments in s4 (admittedly they have been Spanky moments - I'm referring to the ship in case anyone was thinking I meant the other thing), but I thought Sateda was a snooze fest. But IMO of course. People would think the same of eps I like.
As I said just b4 re the Sparky moment (imagined of course) in The Ark, when Teyla is trapped she yells out "Ronan", then "John". Mmm. Sheyla, bite me. And then, how dumb is Michael? The bug apparently only feeds from the neck, so he places it oh wait NOT THERE so there is just enough time to escape. But OT of course.
