The wraith costumes really are in decline, did you see the hair on the one who betrayed Tod?!! I think he's using some really cheap shampoo which gives it too much volume. Also when another one was telling him that the enemy ship was coming straight for them, his face was completely blurred the whole time! Obviously they're trying to save money but do they think fans won't notice?!!!

I did too but it gets old after 2 seasons to see in the third season the same approach over and over . One character I fancied and she wasn't naked, Helena Cain. Razor was the first BSG I ever saw . BSG creators are lucky because I had to buy the DVDs to see what their show was on about after that feisty woman took on a cylon armada being the underdog .

Is Razor worth it? My OH wants it for his birthday

I think Reiko said something about respecting the female viewers. PTB guys, there are lots of women watching this show and while we do like a sight of some cute male we do want good female characters. Presenting us with a strong female character doesn't mean her ability to a) kick ass, b) wear leather and look "tough" which is, in male dominated word often interpreted as "hot".

We want characters we can relate to. Right now I don't see that on SGA. I'm an intelligent and educated young female and whiny babies like Keller won't do. I'm even less impressed with the job that's been done with male characters.

As a guy, I would add to that that while I appreciate looking at hotties, if they are written poorly, all the eye-candy in the world won't make me continue watching (see Smallville, Dr Keller). I found Weir attractive, but also liked her personality, hence her being one of my favs, period. I still would have liked her if she was less attractive. I hope. IDK - depends how shallow I really am I guess. Putting characters in who are clearly there for the eye-candy aspect just irritates me. I don't watch SGA for that - I want to be entertained as well.

Re male characters, SGA and SG1 seem to do a better job of making them a bit more rounded, even their secondary ones. Compare Lorne or Zelenka to say Dr Chase from House (bit of a whiner, no backbone). This may be because it is military based. While the male characters may not be alpha males in the typical sense (not macho per se) they are somewhat more realistic. While I don't know any Sheps or McKays in RL, to me they are at least plausible (but could do with some tweaking). Now Ronan on the other hand.......


NB: with the influx of characters, regular, recurring and guest from SG1, maybe they should rename it STARGATE ATLANT1S

I knew this story line, this development would make Teyla into the Madonna (no not that one)

I think they put women's rights back to the 1950s in this episode. Actually it was more like "come on men we have to protect the women folk" whether they want the protection or not.

You should. It has a prettier cast than SGA Plus Adama/Roslin are like Shep/Weir except better written.
