Keller is so boring, Carson had a great personality, he was funny and geeky. He wasn’t American (no offense to Americans but it’s nice to have a different nationality for a change). He was never one of my favourite characters, but he added well to the overall dynamic and was entertaining to watch. Keller doesn't bring anything to the show. Her character doesn't stand out in any way.

The main problem is that Weir's storyline technically could be revisited without a) Weir and b) Torri. So I will wait for more info.

I'll wait for real confirmation, preferentially from TH. Note that TPTB specifically said that they'll revisit Weir's storyline. That could mean Weir comes back, or it could mean that the team runs into the rebel replicators working toward ascension, no Weir in sight.

My opinion? TPTB wanted to go back to the SG1 safety net and focus more on the team and less on non-team characters such as Weir. For whatever reason (not even going to say my theory on GW either), Torri was removed instead of simply reducing her role to a more Hammond-like character. Tapping was brought into this minimized Hammond-like role in order to try and bring in ratings (Joe F has even said such at a recent con). Whether Torri was directly removed to make way for Amanda has been vigorously denied by TPTB, but most regulars here know what I think.

ITA, I'll wait until I hear it from Torri herself to believe this, I don't trust tptb, they love to play mindgames with the fans, and now they're cornered and need to give Weir fans some kind of hope to keep those poor souls that still have some faith on tptb watching.
