The Anti Season 4 Thread (Spoilers). For complaints and misgivings ONLY.
Echoes was in the second half. I think s3 could have been the best season ever if it would have continued the awesomeness of the first half. Let's see the first half had Sateda, Progeny, The Real World, Common Ground, The Return. People seemed to love Mckay and Mrs. Millar, I didn't, but I'll add it to the list of awesome then it just started to suck. I will never stop laughing at the cheap rewind method they used in The Return II.
I loved sateda!!!!!! and CG and echos.. there was a lot i liked about season 3... till they killed carson and then ... FS gads what a fiasco... it took them 3 episodes to destroy 3 seasons of work
well, the wonderful Dr. Weir story arc which was going to blow us all away totally sucked. There was no real arc...just one episode where weir actually had an arc and that was the one where Rodney put the nano things in her to begin with.
weir's eps: (not going chronologically--just eps for weir)
ep 1--she was dying
ep 2--she was saved and goes to replicator world--only real weir story the entire season too.
ep 3--why even bother? the whole ep was nothing more than a plot device to track the replicator ships.
ep 4--WTF?
I'm stunned by all the people who think this opens the door for her to continue on the show.
Am I reading this wrong, or am I right and people are saying
Spoiler:
that the Atlantis people don't know she's alive, and she's now all "okay, we can go and do our thing now that they think we're dead" or whatever? That to me doesn't set her up for more episodes. It sets her up to be out there roaming around the universe doing her own thing with the replicators never to be seen or mentioned again. And again, Torri's said she's not been approached for season five.
I love that some people can be optimistic (yes, it's optimistic, not optomistic --- please, please, people use the frigging spellcheck), but for me, it just leaves it open for them to say "well she's alive, what more do you want?" and not bring her back at all.

So is this the confirmed, very secretive final ep for Weir?
Spoiler:
10 seconds at the end. Man, what a waste. Set her (or her clone) up in this new direction and then have no plans to bring back her character.
Torri herself said that she won't come back unless her character is in a reasonable number of eps, right?
IMO, TPTB have no plans on bringing her back but set up this shoddy ending as some way to keep her plotline going and her fans hopeful anyway. If she was coming back, why wouldn't they announce such a thing, or even that they're working on something? Are they foolish enough to assume that fans will gratefully come back to them the longer they hold out? Because I can assure them that's not the case.
Also: shoo, Larrin. You're wasting my time.
Agree 100 percent. They're banking on the naive fans to hang around and keep watching every ep in hope of seeing more of her. Which they won't deliver.
Larrin -- I haven't seen an ep with her in, but from what I've heard she's appalling. She's just eye candy for Shep to fawn over. Ugh. They destroy one of my favourite characters, kill another by exploding tumour, and then turn Shep back into a drooling teenager, controlled by his hormones. Way to go, PTB.
The space battles were kind of watchable. The good thing was that this episode lacked Whining baby (or at least I didn't notice her). The writing is still as crappy as it used to be

That's funny I was sure it had... *major spoilers*
Spoiler:
Weir Oh you mean the other whining baby? At least Weir seems to be a replicator and insane, so an improvement on her since she was leader of Atlantis, but why tptb have to even have her in the show, just useless waste of time, so much more could be explored but as long as they keep treading the same old ground of *is she, isn't she* it just seems like a lack of ideas is their main game now... or continues to be their main game.
And all those space battles? I just yawned through them.
Now that said I'll add that I feel one notch less anti right now. I guess I got what I wanted a door wide open for Weir to return, if not in show, then I bet there will be tons of fan fiction (which is more musing right now than the show itself). I can go and write my own personal canon happy to know Elizabeth is still alive and kicking. Yep I believe it's the real one. So finally I'm happy about something.
Oh and everything else still sucks really bad. Except 20 seconds of Doctor Weir at the end, which is the coolest moment of this crappy excuse for a season. You heard me? The coolest moment so far!

Just another tease for the fans, nothing more. Wasn't this her last episode? They'll bury her they way they'll bury the Wraith ally
