While I'm here, something more topical.. what would you say is your least favourite episode of Season 4 so far and why?

Mine is probably Missing... although it wasn't awful, it's the only one I've yet to bother rewatching. I know a lot of people had issues with Keller in this episode but her reactions didn't bother me too much and I felt they were in character for her character (if that makes any sense) but I simply found that Teyla and Keller alone were really not enough to hold my interest. I enjoy Teyla as part of the team but on her own... or with just Keller... I'm afraid I found her a little... *meh*.
We do agree on something. Missing is my least fave also. I liked seeing Teyla in native mode, but the whole thing was just too weak for an entire episode. There should have been a B plot with more Shep.

And while we're talking about favorites and this seems to be my contrary day, I liked Travelers. I thought Larrin was spicy in a good way and she and John had great chemistry. I liked Adrift, and Lifeline made my stomach hurt in a good way. TMC finished breaking my heart and all the others I barely remember. MC wasn't so bad actually, but again not enough Shep and Doppelganger was disappointing even though JF was his usual incredible self. There now. Noone can say all the antis agree.

Ooorah! is a sort of general Marine noise. It kinda sounds like you've been punched in the stomach if you say it right and means anything from "right on" to " let's take that hill and kill us some mother*******". Semper Fi, short for Semper Fidelis, is the USMC motto and means always faithful. Marines say it to each other as a greeting.

Wow. *is stunned* I agree, but I'd resigned myself to the idea that I was alone in my opinion. Cool!

Actually, I don't think I'm enough of a fan of anything to want to go a con.

ETA: It's something I've just realized, if I had the time right now I wouldn't know where to go because there is not a cast/director/writers I want to meet, there is nothing I care about enough to want to spend that money on, I'd rather buy books.

First season of SGA I thought John was like John from Farscape, but then it sort of went downhill from there.

Are you talking about Zhaan? If so, the actress left because the body makeup she had to wear for the part was damaging her health. I don't think that's in any way comparable to what's happened with SGA.

Travelers is the episode I liked the least, but the episode that disappointed me the most was Miller's Crossing. I was really looking forward to this one because I loved Jeannie so much last year, but for some reason the whole sibling thing wasn't as much fun the second time around for me. Still love her character though. Maybe it was the story. There are things in Miller's Crossing that drove me nuts, while I totally enjoyed McKay and Mrs. Miller.

Torri is a class act, agreed. She's still as gracefull and respectful as she's always been, even after how they treated her and what she believes is the reason they got rid of her. *bows* Also, JM could learn a thing or two from her, for example how fans are supposed to be treated.

S1 of SGA (early episodes, where Shappard's misconduct wasn't so obvious)

Not to mention Shep getting away with things that would get him an extra bonus of about 20 years in Fort Leavenworth. The writing was sooooooooooooooo out of character and generally bad that I wanted to go after the TPTBs myself (HK-47 just wouldn't be appropriate anymore)

I've been watching DS9 too, it's on TV at the moment and mother likes it, I generally have some music channel on or the radio, also the Four Hills ski jumping tournament starts on sunday so that's going to take up 4 days of TV

Dr. Who definitely holds the title of longest running scifi show, has the most seasons and is still going very well.
Take the episode with a very large pinch of salt, it's a bit of a pastiche of disaster movies

Thanks for that, I've often wondered what it meant after it was mentioned in NCIS

Heh, I've been rewatching season 1 of Farscape these days. What a great show that was! Well-written and consistently unpredictable characters/starships. Interesting storylines. Continuity. *cough* SGA could have had all those things.
Not to mention non-American accents and ..... muppets! It's a shame that show got cancelled, since it had the best portrayed and written villians I've seen in a long time on TV. Plus they didn't really make a distinction between which side was good and which was evil, but let a lot play in the grey areas.

I do that too and I'm reading books, go outside, post on GW, etc... I'm very busy and yet I'm also bored which probably explains why the list of what I'm doing and what I'm doing at the same time keeps growing
