The Anti Season 4 Thread (Spoilers). For complaints and misgivings ONLY.
I have nothing else negative to say. Well until I see Weir's last ep. Will they give her the "Ford" treatment? I will be pissed. Ford deserved the Ford treament, Weir doesn't. Sorry, I hated Ford. As far as everything else goes.......... I'll save that for the Pro-thread. Laters!
Bravo Brian, that post before was actually 100 % on-topic. Sorry, kidding with ya. ;-)
Torri Higginson:"Elizabeth had a mad crush on Sheppard." at Halfway Con - Sparktastic weekend with Joe and Torri, on October 30, 2011
Okay, a quick off-topic question: Who here is ruining my fun discussing by scaring away other members with false accusations?
Please refrain from this as you are ruining my fun and damage the image of antis even more. You can contribute to the discussions but don't start using "ad hominem" attacks, because that's pathetic and non-contributing.
It always happens when I leave for a few hours, can someone fill me in via PM please
I agree with this. Military vessels are not supposed to have a good look (neither do military officers). They should be designed in a way that doesn't expose vital areas (bridge, launch bays, reactor compartments) to enemy fire. And to add to the discussion - The F-302 cockpit design would never survive the pilot's comments during the approval procedure
What happened here??? And what happened last night for that matter?
I suppose if it follows Navy designs the bridge will be up top and in the front
Worse ep for me so far has been Travelers. A show devoted to Shep and yet we learned nothing new about him. Insert token babe in leather who seems anything but a leader and...meh.
Caldwell is coming back in one or more of the later s4 eps. I'm really hoping he isn't the guy that Carter apparently chews out. Caldwell, Ellis, Woolsey, and Kav all are characters used primarily to show how the team is right and the outsiders are wrong. For me to be impressed, TPTB should write Carter chewing out someone on the team, not some token whipping boy. The latter has been overdone to the point of lameness.

*nods* It always happens when you're gone. *sighs* I want to be here at least once when it happens.

I'd much rather have it, and from what I know this is the current consensus amongst experts, to have it follow the submarine style lay-out. This because submarines are more like spacecraft than surface vessels (Movement in 3 directions, completely reliant on instruments, one mistake can mean death, almost completely self-sufficient, etc...).
Home made chocolate chip in my case, upshot of being a chef, hot, fresh choc chip cookies on demand
I'll take a few.

I can imagine the scence where she comes in BAMSR:
Caldwell: "A few alien ships have just jumped in an are helping us."
John: "It are the travelers!"
Larrin: "John! I am here to save you! Please transfer to my Aurora class ship so we can plan tactics from here!"
John: "Okay, but only if you wear that tight leather suit!" (John beams out)
Caldwell: "We're doomed."
Meanwhile on the Travellers' Aurora class ship, Larrin's quarters:
Larrin: "Lets make babies."
John: "Okay." (Thinking: "I'm getting laid, again.)
*** A short time later, afterall they are in battle ***
Larrin: "You were great John."
John: "I know, it comes with The Hair (r)(c)(tm)."

I hope she chews out Sheppard for being a prick.

I'm thinking it will be Caldwell, which as you say, is lame. It'd be more interesting if there was conflict between Sheppard and Carter, or how about Caldwell chewing Carter out, since they're the same rank (?), and he has more command experience. Not going to happen, but I used to like the tension between Caldwell and Weir.

So would I

Not your fault but the Who fans were up in arms about the Guiness Book of records announcing that SG-1 was the longest running series after 10 series and Dr Who had been around for 28 years, give or take a few years

That would be interesting as well
Anyway I've just published the 2nd chapter of 'How it should have been' - another story related to episode Adrift. Here is a link to my ff.net user profile. Once again the same warnings as for the previous chapter + Zelenka gets killed

I resent that!!!! How can you say Larin is Vala. Go to your room! You are grounded! . What you did translates into ....you know, people did not stop going to Italy because we have Italian restaurants all over the world .
And the best thing about it would be that Sheppard wouldn't be allowed to argue back because of Carter's superior rank.
That would be interesting as well
