I have a question... to something that was posted in the Pro-season 4 thread but it's probably not appropriate to ask it there so Briangate78, Jelgate, Jumper One, any one of you who lurks here...

The Live+ ratings are the one's that count the people who DVR'd the show and watch it at a later date within 3 or 7 days. Now, my question...

How do the counters know whether someone has already watched an episode and is watching it again? Will it remember some sort of IP-address or how does it work? Does it count it second, third, fourth viewing as well.

Cause if it does, then the numbers are skewed, and have no meaning.

This is an honest question, and I'd like an honest answer. Not one where I'm so-called spinning the numbers to show that the ratings have dropped. Thank you!

I have another question to add to this --- since I don't have a box, and I DVR'd mine, can they still count it? Or you must have a box for it to count you?

Counts only once I would think. Once the DVR playback happens that's when it counts. Again they still have to review the 3 days of Commercial viewing in which is the most important. SGA has more viewers watching the commercials in key demos. So a lot of those DVR numbers will likely count.

You have to be a Nielsen Family. I think there are between 25,000 to 50,000 families registered? I would ask MediaSavant, she knows a lot more than I do.

Well since Adrift premiered I've been doing a lot of reading and learning how the system works. But MS is the best person for this. Problem with me is, I'll postive spin a 0.9!
