Gah. Rulers. When I was at primary school, we had a teacher who used to make naughty kids hold their arm level with his blackboard ruler, while he put weights on their hand. He'd make them stay like that until they were crying from the pain of it.

It was after they got rid of the strap... his way of still making us feel the pain... Maybe we should do that to certain PTB, like they're naughty schoolboys.

indeed. If you tried that here today, you'd get arrested. Teachers here aren't even allowed to make them write sentences over and over anymore. Though I think that would work great for TPTB.

It was the 80s. Back when kids were actually expected to behave themselves.. how times change. My mother's a teacher and she says they get worse every year.
