      The Seer ratings:

How awful is that? SGA is getting the same ratings as Enterprise reruns.

Errr I'm sorry but I was under the impression that 1.1 is infact higher than 1.0? or maybe I'm wrong my math skills always were a bit below par

And I don't see enterprise repeats being DVRed do you?
A word of advice... there are creatures that live between this dimension and the next, fiendish creatures that feast on the suffering of an entire world to satiate their eternal hunger. Support the Gateworld Cantina or suffer the fate of all who fall into the clutches of the 'Eladrith Ynneas'

Little question you should ask yourself: When you really like a TV show, would you watch it live, or DVR it and watch something else live?

SGA did a little better that Enterprise reruns... And that is a victory why exactly? (hate those annoying pro-people)

Let me make a more accurate statement then. SGA got pwned by Ghost Hunters, ECW and Astroid.

To answer your question it depends sometimes theres other more important calls on my time i.e. work or family commitments in which case I would DVR it and watch it when I could.

Here's a question for you in return. Would you stay in on a Friday night to watch a show you really like rather than going out with some friends or going for out for dinner with family etc. etc. when you could record the programme and watch it when you get back?

Different target audiences, to be fair Ghost Hunters and ECW are both programmes you can just sit down turn your brain off and watch if thats your bag, Atlantis requires you to think a bit more not the kinda thing you can sit down with a bunch of mates with a beer and laugh at you'd miss vital exposition.
and has been said again and again those numbers do not show DVR and seeing as Atlantis one of the most DVRed shows on Sci-fi I'd say that its a pretty big part of the picture.

Bottom line is - people don't watch it live as much as they used to do. And I don't know about you, but I ususally go out Saturday evenings. Ratings aren't good and that's a fact.

Which is why DVR is important, Atlantis normally upticks by .3 after DVR so it is likely that The Seer recieved a 1.3 to 1.4 rating with DVR, compared with Ghost Hunters and ECW which don't uptick by much if at all.

What? Are you serious? Do you really have your brain turned on when watching SGA?

It's the +3 and +7 raitings I don't understand, if you had to Sky+ a show because of commitments surely you'd watch it ASAP, I know I do

TBH, I usually don't turn my brain during any show and I don't miss anything that's vital, I watch TV to relax and 'turn off' from RL. Sheesh, maybe I should have an excursion to the pro thread. J/K!

I tired. I failed. (well it was possible during season 1). If I want to turn off my brain I watch episodes of SGA that don't annoy me to death.

I'm still not buying that DVR excuse. A good show is a good show and its producers don't go boohooo about the importance of DVRing. Ask people who watch, ummm, Closer for example.

on ratings--begging people to watch the show in your blog to improve ratings so you have a job next year is a bad sign...LOL.

And that doesn't help them much these days. And the most important thing: The advertisers (those, who pay for the show) don't care about DVR, 'cause paople can skip the ads. They care about live ratings. Lower live ratings mean less money from the advertisers and ... Do I really need to go on?
