Damn im never invited to weddings!!

although i have to say in the last few eps theres been no real time between them from my pov at least, its more about ronan and john and the girls than anything else.

as for the ratings to be honest i dont think they played a major role in sga being renewed. i think it was more to do with being able to sell those 100eps package and having nothing much to fill the void.
though i must confess i have no problem with it being renewed good luck to them its just not doing it for me on the whole this year, so far.

only liking 3 eps out of them so far and then not being excited enough to chat about them with friends the next day, over coffee, as i did last year tells me that what is working for some fans, is just not working for me.

its back to watching eps from the previous 3 years for me. tonight im gonna watch hotzone - love that ep

I liked Lifeline. Elizabeth rulz!!

I semi-liked Reunion. Jason completely owned the screen. He rocked! And kicked some serious Satedan butt in the process.

I semi-semi-liked Doppelganger for the abvious reason... Kate.

I loved Missing. 40 minutes of kick-ass Teyla, whom is in fact my last remaining fave on the show.

And that's it, I think.... What else did we have? ... *shrug* Can't remember.

I'm watching season 1 again and man... It's indescribable. Ford's enthusiasm. i had forgotten how much fun it is to watch him. He's like a kid in a candystore. The dynamics are just there. The stories rock and they still keep me glued to the screen for 42 minutes. No yawning or boring moments... Just pure Atlantis!

Next on my viewing schedule -> Suspicion

A little lesson about human mentality: When people truly like a show and think it is well written, they watch it live and DVR something else, not watch something else live and DVR the show they used to like.

Some of us have no choice but to Sky+ something as we have to work, I set the series link for Dr Who and 4400, not because I was watching something else but because I was working and I didn't wait 3 days to see it I came home, poured myself a drink and sat down to watch, even at 10 or 11pm I'd make time to watch, so all this "Ah but wait until the +3 and +7 day figures come out, then we'll see" thats a load of B&%£?!ks, if you recorded the show because you're working and you love the show that much you watch it on the same day, which is pretty much 'live' This bleating about DVR raitings is the death throws of people who are in danger of losing their jobs

I'm not sure about the ratings either. It's pretty obvious that the network as a whole is suffering and stating that SGA is near the top of a struggling network is faint praise. If Flash Gordon, Dresden Files, or Painkiller Jane had pulled in better ratings than SGA then I'm pretty sure SGA would not have been renewed. As it stands, SGA got a lucky break just because everything else on the network is doing so poorly. That ain't exactly a vote of confidence.

If skiffy continues to do poorly overall then I can see them dumping expensive shows like SGA in favor of cheaper shows like Ghost Hunters that get better ratings. That's all that matters in the end, anyway.

Boy, TPTB really messed up big time. "Missing" could have been a terrific Teyla episode, if only Keller had not been there!

Word. Missing could have been a great way to showcase Teyla if she had to fend for herself. But no, TPTB had to throw Keller in there and Teyla was reduced to babysitter. Sad.

Sheppard is married to Elizabeth, period. And she never left, PTB guys got something mixed up really bad.

Rodney was genuinely snarky and thought he was the smartest in two galaxies, period. John was a soldier. Teyla kicked butts, Carson was sweet and clumsy, Ford was eager and had all the enthusiasm in the world. And Wraith were still scary!

I miss that show.

We're talking about LIVE ratings, before SGA used to get 1.6 LIVE at its lowest, now they can be happy if they get a 1.2 LIVE.

DVR is just a desperate excuse for those shows that get lousy LIVE ratings.

And before anyone jumps in with the "but it's getting the best ratings", the channel is getting lousy ratings, just because SGA is at the top of a pile of garbage it doesn't mean it's the greatest thing for being at the top.

Yeah, man. The Wraith are a bloody joke now. In Season 1 Wraith like Steve were so cool I actually didn't mind them being around - usually I don't watch anything with "aliens" on it.

Episodes with wraith used to be awesome, Poisoning the Well, Suspicion, the Defiant One, this thread is making me want to watch past seasons again.

I haven't watched it in so long, maybe I can pretend it's like Macross and it only has fifty episodes.
