little clarification, that manip above, with weir in sam's place, it's a valid manip. they didn't cut off sam's head and put liz's on, they replaced the whole body. In fact, i know of several for season 7 of stargate where fans erased shanks and put corin in his place...or made one with shanks in it that didn't still have pieces of corin's body left behind like the official one did.

That manip is a valid manip...although those of you that want to use it as a sig better size it down. it's too tall at 302 pixels and the file size is over 200K, so if you use it as is, it'll get removed until you downsize it.

as to the 'off topicness' of this thread, folks this is not specifically anti towards any topic other than season four. Any and all concerns are welcome. If you are an ardent pro carter/weir/shep/chuck/rod/ronon/teyla fan and don't want to see posts against your favorite character....well either develop a thick skin or stay out of the thread.

That being said, AGAIN, those of youexpressing your opinions, please be aware that people of all preferences play here, so you may wish to temper your statements away from ardent passion and towards a more cool and more acceptible level

I agree. For me, the signature in question - shows that we are anti- S4. By removing Carter and inserting Weir - we are saying that we do not like the S4 changes.

<sigh> yes. In a way. But most sigs hake pics (or pieces of them) and make something new. Like Killdeer's sig. It's very nice.

The one in question (to me) violates that spirit. While it may or may not violate the rules (I'll let the mods decide that )

That Weir-over-Carter manip - and the following responses - just seemed to belong more in the Pro-Weir thread because it said nothing about reasons. It just *was*. (And really what do you (gen) know, you (gen) hadn't even seen the eps when you started in - they might be good. Heaven forbid.

I am NOT saying don't post. As long as it's on topic, it's fine. (and within the rules) I'm just saying, don't report to the mods 'how dare she post that manip' when you praise someone that makes one just like it but with different characters.

Ummm me. I shall make it smaller so you can use it as a sig when I get home. Or you can just steal the one I have as my sig. Just keep refreshing until you get to that sig.

Let me ask all of you something... Why are you against season 4? Is it the bad, repetetive stories? YES. Is it the changing of the original crew? YES. Is it Carson? Yes. Is it Weir? YES....And don't say no 'cause that fall under the "changing things around" category. I've never seen so much hatred in any other fandom...not for the characters, not for TPTB, not fan for fan. And I'm not saying there aren't bad fandoms out there, but this one used to be great and it turned into this.

Let's be honest for a second... If everything in season 4 was as good as in season 1, this show would have been amazing! But no they go and break apart a team that worked GREAT together, they put in a BLONDE because who the hell wants to see a brunette on TV? *rolleyes*

Anyway, GREAT manip ruined_puzzle! You can't even tell that it's a manip to be honest, and you're right, that's the way Atlantis should be. Can I use it in a sig too?

The mere fact that you have fans on both sides of the spectrum allows for conversation. No need to take it so personally. I myself do not like many of the changes but what can I do? Stop watching the show? Okay, I stop and 20 million other people watch it. What have I gained? I deprive myself of a show because Torri left? Who am I kidding? The show does not rely on one actor. Had the show relied on Torri she would have been the only one playing ...Yay, Carter comes to SGA. Well they are forced to bring her. She has a fullproof contract. The writers cannot afford to pay her off so they are following the agreement they have with her ...

Actually, this show lost its greatness somewhere in season 2. The only reason I was watching was because of Weir and Carson.. but they're both gone. So no no one on here stopped watching just cause ONE little thing changed. It was many together.

But there's also much love, you know. For example, a lot of people have been pointing me to these season 4 pictures which shed light on the guest star/character I love so much. And that was sooo sweet of them.
