My guess for the fourth episode has always been
    Spoiler:
Doppelganger, but I guess it could be The Seer also.

      Spoiler:
kill her off in TMC .. hence she [mp]shuffles off this mortal coil runs down the curtain and joins the bleedin' choir invisibile [/mp]
Reaceania, you're quite welcome to play here anytime.

      If they do
      Spoiler:
kill her off, I'm done. Yes, it would be nice to have closure and my closure would involve leaving.

This one gets my vote too.
      Spoiler:
We didn't see in the first two episodes the scene where evidently Elizabeth screams her head off. I just think John might be having nightmares about what she might be going through.

Of course, in the end we'll all be wrong and she'll show up in an episode we never considered. This fourth appearance is so top secret because it's a major spoiler. Do you think they can surprise us with something good at this point?

Well, each to their own I just hold out hope that we will actually see her again. I find what they are doing with her interesting, and it would be bad to only have her pop up again once or twice. I hope that eventually she can return, richer for the experience.

I didn't think I would miss her so much actually. I was chuffed that Carter was joining, so I guess I wasn't thinking about it so much. The way she went out in Lifeline (very heroic) made me feel pretty sad. I'm still very happy that Carter is joining, but I really do wish I could have both full time come s5, or s6 if we get them.

They could have her come back in the season 5 two parter, she would go back to Earth for a little while, and return full time for the last 5 or 6 episodes of season 5, and be full time in s6. With her new abilities (If she gets to keep them) she could be an invaluable off world team member.

        Well, I can hope

If they were doing it as a way to enrich the character while still keeping her onboard, I would find it interesting. Kind of like Sam with Jolinar - I was so irritated that they basically forgot about that storyline. But doing it as a way to write her out I don't find interesting at all - it's nothing more than a repeat of what they did with Ford. I have no doubts that Torri and the rest of the cast will rock their performance in whatever they do, but.... I didn't like what they did to Ford. They completely changed who he was. And I don't want to see that happen to Elizabeth. I don't want her turned into an enemy. I don't want her just drifting out there in the unknown and the Atlantis team just forgetting about her and never mentioning her again after TMC. I'd rather see her die or ascend (and yes, I know ascension isn't happening).

It would be a bit ironic, if her second small appearance is in TMC, while her big second episode would be the unknown one.
            Doubt it, tho.

I don't think it's impossible for them to do something good now, tho/ If thye would progress in the direction they did in season 3, then season 4 migth be reasonable even tho I don't like most of the characters.
I guess I can do the seperation tho between stories tghat are well done and that I enjoy even if their consequences are things I don't enjoy. I know a lot of people don't like Heroes part 2 or Sunday because of their consequences, but I guess I manage to seperate the episode from the ending in my mind and thus enjoy a well written, well acted, generally well done episode even tho I really don't like what it means.
Pinky, are you thinking what I'm thinking?

No. LOL Obviously this episode they're keeping a secret won't even be worth watching for Elizabeth because she'll hardly be in it.

The closer we get to the episodes actually being aired, the more info we get that confirms that the biggest pessimists and antis (I count myself among those) are right about everything... I don't expect any surprises for Weir fans, they'll dump her in an unoriginal way never to be talked, heard or seen again. Oh well... die Atlantis, die...

Well, they have already ruined the show. Death is only a natural consequence, IMO.

Well, now that the fears of Weir fans everywhere have been confirmed, I think there are very few surprises left for season four. One question remaining of course is how, and how well, they handle Beckett's return. Two would be how will they write Carter to satisfy the SG1 fans they are trying to lure without having her dominate the existing cast. She is already dominating the publicity; hopefully (for SGA-only fans) this is not an indication of what is to come on screen. LOL.

Well, I guess airing against first-run network shows could be considered a case of assisted suicide (the assist provided by SciFi programming).

First Ford, now Elizabeth, and there's even a thread about Carson turning into a wraith. Honestly, that wouldn't surprise me if they did that.

The more information and that comes out, eg, Torri's interview, the first two eps, the speculation about Beckett, the more preposterous JM's "You'll like it when you see it" seems to be.
Reminds me of how my mother used to try to get me to eat cooked spinach back in the day - "You'll like it, its good for you, you don't know what you're missing". LOL. Didn't work then and has even less of a chance now.

You mean stuff like "we don't leave our people behind". I love Shep, but if he spends as much time looking for Weir as he did Ford, I hope the first time that crap comes out of his mouth this season, somebody pops him.

And Hermiod or did he die along with the rest of the Asgard. Novak is sooo cool. She's hilarious.

(continuing my philosophical, poetical, psychologically challenged mood)

In four episodes that are in fact only 2 episodes ... I think we can thank JF for going up to the TPTB, other wise they would have gotten rid of Elizabeth as quickly as was humanly possible, never to be seen, heard or talked about again.

My hope dwindles like the falling leaves. And I know that the leaves will be back next spring but they won't be the same leaves. And therefor I strongly believe Elizabeth Weir is gone. She will be but a shadow of herself, not the character we once loved and cared for, that we invested time in to see what would happen in her life in Atlantis, her struggles, her trials and tribulations.

Probably. There are only so many quality killer earthquake/volcano/sun spot/black hole movies out there. SciFi needs something to fill up the rest of the schedule.
