Nowhere in the title does it say this is

'carter sucks only'
'weir sucks only'
'beckett's gone and it sucks only'
'ford is gone and it sucks only'

or any other permutation of it being solely about a single character, plot or story.

Yes, i do know that it has been predominantly about the dislike of carter coming and weir leaving. That has been the flavor of the thread and that's fine. The anti season ten thread was largely not in favor of cameron and vala. However, if someone came into that thread and said how much they hated sam's story in an episode, it was on topic. Because it was a complaint or misgiving.

Do i agree with posts that were made last night? No, PERSONALLY, i don't. but it was on topic. Like it or not, it was on topic.

Just as, if you go into the pro s4 thread it's just as on topic to say 'i love that weir will be in 4 eps' as it is to say 'i love that carter is to be in 14 of them' or 'i love that teal'c will be in 2 of them'

The pro thread is to express what you DO like about s4 and the anti thread is to express what you DON'T like about season four.

If you don't like or agree with someone's opinion, move past it and read on. What folks need to realize is that not everyone likes/dislikes the same things at the same time.

My understanding about the term "anti" is that it's about any misgivings about the new season...big or small. For instance, although I'm a supporter of Carter, I'm concerned that it might not be written well and that she might be crammed into place without any real regard for the existing setup. I like Weir but am okay with what they're doing as long as it's done well. I hated losing Carson but am glad we'll see him again and hope we see more of him. In each of those cases, I'd post the majority of my pro-ness in the pro places and post my anti-ness in the anti places. Then there are the conversational threads where both pro and anti is appreciated and I hold nothing back in those.

This is how I'd like to view the pro and anti threads as well. Everyone is welcome, regardless of overall pro or anti view, as long as they're being genuine and not trying to cause trouble. As I've said before, no one is 100% pro or 100% anti. Even the staunchest pro has something that worries them or that they dislike about s4, and even the staunchest anti has something, a scene or a character appearing, that they look forward to in s4. They should be able to post in the appropriate thread and not be harassed when they post their views genuinely and thoughtfully.

Wait! There are better options, afterall this one doesn't involve Sheppard having a Kirk moment or Rodney being jealous of said moment.

It would be far more up TPTB's alley to have John contact either Chaya or Teer to help Weir learn to ascend, just think of the storylines this could open up! Chaya trying to get John to stay with her, Rodney being jealous or Teer trying to make John ascend but Weir and Rodney objecting to that!

Or ... what about the Friendly Neighborhood Wraith that saved Sheppard's life byt giving him life-energy? Or Michael? Think about the implications on the latter one, Michael, of all people, saving Weir and using his genetic technology to change her into a Wraith Queen while Rodney and Sheppard try to help the new miracle doctor to reverse this condition!

Or ... Captain Planet will appear and save her or she'll be turned into a duplicate by the Mysterons but something happens which gives her back her own personality and she fights against those that created her.

yes its a double edged sword. i like that rodney is trying with someone, as long as i dont have to see to much of the "smooching" if hes not Seeing someone then he could end up like a horny blood hound. not a good thing IMHO OK unless hes looking for me (waves im sitting right here) then he can go right on ahead

FP, I am leaving this out because even as some have pointed out its a *Personal Issue*....It is the crux of what the problem seems to be here.

A Poster has made a fairly thin veiled attempt to be *anti season 4*

We KNOW and we are watching We had hoped that the other members of this thread would not rise to any of the *bait* because this Poster has kept things *On-Topic* just enough to keep things on the up and up. So there is no violation. Thus there is no deletions.

However, there has been a vast amount of of entertainment for this Poster watching and reading all of this. Part of not enforcing *Our own versions of the rules* but the rules themselves, means we sometimes have to hope against hope that folks will see things for what they truly are and just let fools make fools of themselves.

We definitely appreciate that most of our membership doesn't follow this sort of thought process and seeks to find entertainment in pure discussion and dialogue. But for some trying to be clever and seeking to create drama in an otherwise boring life this is what they do.

Most of us watch TV or movies to add this kind of spice to our lives. Sometimes we even read books.

However, knowing all this...We will continue to enforce the ON-TOPIC rule and hope that you as a member will pick and choose what functions would suit best in situations like these I find the ignore feature can work wonders

I just want to make a small response which is in topic to the statement above...since let's be honest is addressed to me.

None of the anti-statements I've said on this thread are not statements I haven't mentioned in the past. I have already posted in the anti thread already a while back in regards to Jill Wagner's rather lascivious comments to John in Traveler's and my own issues there. I'm sure other's have heard my statements on Weir before, and although I love Beckett---I'm not too keen on dead men walking again. Let me not even start on my problems with Harmony which happened when I found out Katie and McKay would break up when I don't even already like Katie/McKay.

I'm trying to see how my statement was in any way "thinly veiled" as being anti-S4"". I may not be outright I hate all things in S4 but I do have "complaints and misgivings" which I've clearly mentioned in my posts when they've come up in other threads. But of course I find them to be more comfortable here...and this was something I said very clearly in the earlier post on Travelers.

This thread is for "complaints and misgivings S4" and my post was such an issue...then maybe there should be more specific threads in which to go into. I have minor misgivings and complaints versus other's misgivings but I don't think they're worth any less than others.
