Why did tptb have to screw up my favorite show? SIGH. I'm really feeling the blues about less Lizzie in Season 4 today. Been reading lots of fic lately, seeing some great videos, etc. Just keeps hitting me like a ton of bricks over and over about how much I'm going to miss this show. (Unless, miracle of miracles, tptb figure out they messed up and fix it). I'm hoping, but not holding my breath.

One thing that HAS cheered me up the past couple of weeks is seeing all the great Celebrate Elizabeth stuff out there. I've been so impressed with the way everyone has contributed.

Tomorrow starts another "Celebrate Elizabeth" week!

Aaaaaand once again the "Weir fans" are being singled out on another open thread here. I didn't realize how awful I am for being one of her fans.

Yes, this is a knee jerk reaction to several posts that I just read. But quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of being painted as a bad guy. I know, some will say don't take it personally because the poster is just generalizing. Sorry, that's not cutting it any more.

You know, I'm anti-season 4 because of the cast changes. But I'm giving it a shot because I like the remaining characters. Sad to say, but, my good feelings for the remaining characters are being tainted by some of their fans who for some reason keep picking at the Weir fans.

I guess it's not enough that EW has been written out. Gotta drive her fans away too. Well, guys, it's working.

Why not tell the generalizer what you just wrote? He/she should know the truth, right (that a very few bad apples are ruining it for everybody)?

Opinions that don't jibe with the status quo often come under fire. Some are just not capable of respecting differing opinions and find it easier to wallow in petty name-calling and attacks.

My personal way of dealing with this is to limit the threads I visit. I admit this won't work for everyone, but it sure as hell has made my time at GW much more enjoyable.

ITA. I only go on about 4 threads now. Helps keep the blood pressure down. Also helps not to read the comments on a certain blog. lol
