The Anti Season 4 Thread (Spoilers). For complaints and misgivings ONLY.

I feel a bit off about doing this. But I'm not happy with Traveler's , been worried for a while, the promo was not good for my misgivings. I'll watch it and hope it's a diamond in the rough, but the promo didn't help much----as a matter of fact it made things worse for me. I don't think I should have seen that. The ep is on my least wanting to see list. I only hope I'm surprised, but my views mainly belong here, because I agree with ToF, Larrin's comment wasn't cute or funny. It was crude and a major turn off. Keep in mind I was liking the character before all the promos came out showing glimpses.

Ugh. I find women making crude jokes about a man's sexuality just as crass and juvenile as men pulling out the "time of the month" jokes around women. Yuck. I hated it when Vala did that to Daniel. And TPTB must have thought that was such a great setup that they shipped them together! *headdesk*

I agree with you. And I'm a little ashamed to admit that I actually liked that scene at first, just 'cause I wasn't thinking about how crude that line actually was. I enjoy banter, and I'd like to see Shep interact with a woman that would kind of irritate him/drive him crazy. And I did love Shep's irritated response. But the more I think about it, the more I think, yeah, that was just too crude. They took it too far with that. I hope it's not all like that. I enjoyed Daniel & Vala's back & forth, but she did also cross the line a few times, so...

I guess we'll see. *initial excitement over promo somewhat subdued now*

I shouldn't have watched that trailer after I woke up. Only makes me more depressed. Of course there was too little Liz (meaning shots from s4, but from the little they have of her in the eps I guess it couldn't be any other way). The only thing I liked in that promo was Shep yelling 'Elizabeth' and the shot of her sad and surrounded by people.

Well, the Comic-Con video says it all: SGA-1. They're merging the shows, as we've been suggesting all along.

Now I wonder why was the Borg quote the first thing that came to my mind? Maybe it's time to rewatch Star Trek.

With this Larrin and Sheppard's ex stuff this show is starting to look like soap to me. Oh wait it turned into soap already in 'Sunday'.

How can they have US military command Atlantis? The other countries wouldn't stand for it would they? I thought Carter was going to be the new commander of a ship not the city.

The clip didn't make me think..."Oh this is going to be cool!" It made me think..."Oh heck...what's going on?" but I will admit the Teyla clip did have me think.."ooh, what's this?"

They start with that woman and Sheppard, her saying some disgusting things to him. They had to include that first, didn't they, it will make their target audience, the adolescent boys, watch the show, right? lol if they think by dumbing up the writing, they're gonna have higher ratings... they're doomed.

Well, I have to say I was mostly excited at McKay´s parts. It looked interesting for me.
Good news is that Sheppard doesn´t look too happy when he congrats to Carter, which is good. But her "what is it crowling at my shoes" expression as response says all.

And I know for sure, I don´t like the Larrin person. She doesn´t look too...likeable, or even intersting. I don´t know.

But I liked the scenes with Keller and Teyla which is weird because I even don´t like Teyla.

All in all, I would be excited if just Perfect blondie weren´t there.

That's curious, isn't it? Why would they think a relatively new show like SGA needs new blood? I thought SGA characters were the "new blood". SG characters are getting old quite fast these days, huh? There's obviously one exception, though.

In my view, that's more evidence s4 of Atlantis is being treated, in fact, as season 11 of SG-1, also known as Stargate Command 2, or Atlantis Command.

One thing that still irks me to no end is that it sounds like they're going all out to promote Keller in the few episodes she has. Why couldn't they have done more with Carson before they killed him off? Let me guess--Keller's a young and beautiful piece of...er...eye-candy, for the boys' club to enjoy.

Can't tell I'm still bitter...and oh so anti S4!
