The Anti Season 4 Thread (Spoilers). For complaints and misgivings ONLY.

Frankly, the way that character is written it'd be more credible if any of the so called A team retrained as a medic and took over.

The character of Keller seems to be written for her out-of-job moments.
The character of Carson was created as

a) a good doctor

b) a good surgeon

c) an expert in gene therapy

d) a holder of the ancient gene

e) good friend and confidant

Keller seems to be written for

a) love triangle

b) ??

JS is a better actress than what the character represents. In fact I think a lot of the good sentiment that is out there for Keller is actually for Jewel. It wouldn't be hard to make her more believeable as a doctor. In Adrift she was plausible (although I thought she was a little cold to Shep, and very hesitant earlier on) as a doctor, rather than "let me play with your insides". When Keller does do something medically, she is either hamstrung by another character or circumstances beyond her control. They've never really put her in a situation where she can shine as a medic & CMO (and no I don't count Missing & Trio)

In Adrift she was plausible (although I thought she was a little cold to Shep, and very hesitant earlier on) as a doctor, rather than "let me play with your insides".

» I thought she was okay in Adrift, treating poor Shep like a widow ... When she "jokes" with her patients/"friends" it has a very different vibe and tone than when Carson did it. I love how Shep is not yet adjusted to her yet. My hewo for being the best at resisting victimization.

Holy crap, I just watched the season 1 finale of Supernatural! THAT is a cliffhanger, emotionally intense and unexpected! None of this pull-the-camera-away-from-your-principals-and-cut-to-a-bad-CGI building stuff. Holy crap.

And Keller--I agree, gateraid, she does seem to be written more for her off duty relationships. They should have established her as a medical professional this season, and experiemented with relationships (but never love triangles, imho) the next season. I might have been along for the ride with her at that point.

i agree its was a fab finale! wait till you see the season 2 premiere one of my all time fav episodes! I stand by that Stargate Atlantis has never done a decent season finale or season premire i have never felt the same level of 'omg' that i have for other shows.. even when atlantis was my fav

» Something that could have worked better for a cliffie could have been before a shocking revelation or someone unexpected offscreen that you have to wait another six-nine months to reveal who it is.

Hopefully I can type before I get booted off again. I thought SGA's 1st season finale was really good, it had a lot of tension, and the second season's was ok too. Third, not so much, and fourth, really meh. But holy crap, I was really surprised by SPN's cliffie. Now I have to wait (im)patiently for Netflix to send me my season two DVDs.

Those are quite good as well. I've only seen up to the library two-parter of this season, but I've heard rumors that this season's cliffhanger is super good...I'm staying away from spoilers so I'll be surprised.

usually I'm not into the cheesyness of dr. who but I must agree the plot for last weeks ep was great. I was impressed.
