If you are interested in getting on the list when "The Beast.." comes out on DVD, leave a message on the blog that is in my siggie! They are working to promote the movie at film festivals and even the big screen but in this business you just never know what can happen or if the big screen ever will happen.
They guarantee that there will be a DVD at some point!

The movie really is great and is a must for any David Nykl fan to have in your collection!

LOL, no, not really. This was one of the situations where people finally got to meet the people behind the screen name. I got to meet Kennedy who manages most, if not all, of the posts on that blog and he got to meet me! It's fun putting the face to the name. I've been posting on his blog for about two and half, three years now.
I think they were all also really surprised and very appreciative that someone traveled to see the movie. David Nykl doesn't have the fan base like Joe Flanigan, David Hewlett, Amanda Tapping, Richard Dean Anderson, etc. where fans typically or regularly will travel from all over to see him or his work so it wasn't something they were expecting.
I was fortunate that a door opened up for me at the right time so I could go. It was driving me nuts that the movie was out there, I'd been following it for these past few years and I couldn't see it - who knows when it would make it to the States so it was a rare gift that the window of opportunity (no SG1 pun intened) opened up and I was able to take it!

Mercury973 and mackenziesmomma who are both big David Hewlett fans also went up to support David Nykl at the movie screening. David was really pleased that all three of us were there.

You would have been more than welcome to join me. It's tougher to do things on the spur of the moment when you have young children at home!

Just be sure to go to the link in my siggie and post on there that you want a DVD when it comes out. Give them a link to your blog so they have a way of contacting you, especially if you don't want to put an e-mail address out there. They promise there will be a DVD, regardless whether this stays on the small screen or goes to the big screen.

The movie is definitely big screen worthy.

When I get the DVD, (don't know when it will happen) I'm having a movie night. My boss, who is Canadian, wants to see the movie. She knows that if I went to Vancouver to see the movie, the talent has to be phenominal!
