I think it's a cat too. Ok, it's settled. We're all just going to have to watch the movie twice--once to watch David and once to find out what it is on the counter behind him (that is if we can ever peal our eyes off of David).
Ah yes. And you know, I was dreaming an Atlantis episode last night and wouldn't you know it was a Zelenka epi. Radek was wearing some new sort of technology that looked like glasses, but one lens telescoped out so he could focus better on whatever he was looking at without having to put it underneath a microscope. It was pretty cool, but it made him look a little like a Borg or something. Still, it was nice getting to see him in action again, even if it was interrupted by my brother insisting that I watch my Dad's Hot pocket in the microwave so it didn't explode. But I digress.
Nice Dream! Maybe Ill get a visit from him tonight. one dream so far...some on!
I've recently gotten hooked on the show, 'The Big Bang Theory' and had an thought tonight - it would be so cool if David Nykl made a guest appearance on the show and the guys kept confusing him from another sci-fi show. They joke about Star Trek alot on TBBT.
Or if he was just on the show as a guest character...he'd be great.
Maybe he and David Hewlett should make an appearance together. Oh god, the show is already geek funny, with those two David's it would be intensely awesome geek funny!
Last night I was rewatching "Hot Zone" from season one. Zelenka just tugs on your heart strings when Rodney realizes that he's not going to die due to the ATA Gene, but poor Radek took the therapy weeks ago and it didn't take. DN played the emotions perfectly. I wanted to snuggle and protect him more than usual.
Here is the Gateworld Gallery for that epidsode... I've linked directly to Radek's "I'm gonna die" face.
David had an addendum on Sept 15th to his Sept 10th blog. He forgot to mention he was interviewed by Martin Firrell for the artist's Scifi Series Project. Others interviewed so far are Joe Flanigan, Ben Browder (for both Farscape and SG1), Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager) and Nathan Fillion (Firefly).

David does do emotions quite well. He's just a very versitile actor and can do a huge range of characters and emotions!
You know in that episode, at the time we really didn't know if they'd kill his character off or not so it was a bit fan-stressful. They were killing or maiming side-characters. I was kind of sitting on pins and needles until I knew for sure that Radek was safe.
Thanks watcher652. I love what they did with his face in the cover pic, probably because it's his face, but what can I say.
I commented on his blog that I thought he looked like a grad student with that hair. And having David describe wormholes was interesting.
I know Radek was an engineer and Rodney was an astrophysicist, but the two characters seemed to have the same knowledge base. Rodney's second degree was in mechanical engineering. I wonder if Radek had a second degree and it was in astrophysics? Seems like both Rodney and Radek spent a lot of their time computer programming, not doing engineering or astrophysics work.

I am pretty sure that Radek was also an astrophysicist.
They did seem to make computer programming look easy!
Yup yup. I'd take David on just about any show really. *sigh*
Yep me too! Though I'd prefer he start getting some meatier roles. He was fun in Sanctuary but his role was so small and I am amazed at how many people didn't recognize him in that show. He didn't have his accent...geeze how we fans can sometimes forget that actors are a many talent thing/idol/person/ oh you know what I mean!
Shall we make a list of shows we WOULD like to see David in..
Humm, lets see (I think we may have started this once before but we have a new season starting! )
