Question for you, David said at the convention the other weekend that SGA was now playing in the Czech Republic and that they were dubbing his voice which was funny to David and the audience.
How do they translate all the swear scenes that Zelenka did in Czech when the show played in the States and Canada in English other than Zelenka's Czech scenes.
I'm curious as to if they tone it down since someone else is dubbing David's voice or do they leave it in.sigpic

I do not watch dubbed SGA, always in english for me. However, I heard that they dub it with another voice-actor. Which is imho a bit lame, but yeah. Zelenka loses a lot from his character that way. This is just adding yet another reason why I think anything, which is dubbed sucks.
It's too bad that not all people in my country, who watch SG series are not capable of speaking English, otherwise I bet none of czechs would watch Stargate in our language. Nothing against my native language, it's just the whole dubbing, which is poorly done.

I found a report of a panel with David Nykl in Germany, they showed him a bit the German dubbing and he said, "That is bad. It wasn't Czech at all. […] Dubbing is a shame."Last edited by Mealla McAllister; 22 July 2009, 08:21 AM.This heart was like a tardis
