Say belevision, do you do conventions at all? Just courious!
I've done a few of the East Coast SF cons in years past, mostly Arisia (Boston) and Lunacon (New York), but I haven't been to any in about 7-8 years. I'm thinking about doing Arisia next year since it's local, but I had thought the same thing this year and didn't go. Granted, we had a huge snowstorm that weekend, but still I kind of lamed out.

Wow, never heard of those. I rarely do conventions, just Chicago the last two years - last year David was there!
David is going to be in a convention in Toronto this summer and since I have alot of vacation time to use up, I was debating whether to go or not. I would love to see Canada and my daughter and I can visit her uncle as well who doesn't live too far from there. Was courious if you had been to it before, sounds like not.
Speaking of snowstorm, guess what we get hit with tonight!

Here some warming thoughts!
I've been to Toronto many times, just not to a con there- it's about a 9 hour drive from here. Once I was there while a con was going on in the summer, a few years back- probably the same one if they have it every year. But I wasn't actually there for the con; I just love the city. When is the one David will be at? I should think about my own vacation plans this year- something like that might be fun.
Oh, not another storm for you! We're actually getting warmer temps here this weekend, in the 50s... but it will get colder next week, and that storm will probably head here. Keep your clone close for warmth!
Those are nice warming pics... here are some more:

It's called Polaris July 10-12, so just after the Holidays. My daughter won't go to the convention with me but her uncle lives a few hours from there - he's in Canada, he's been wanting her to go up to visit for sometime now.
Only thing holding me back from being serious is I don't know much about this convention or anyone there and really don't want to go alone. Conventions are a fun way to meet some really fun and interesting people!
I am being required to use up all my vacation this year, including what I had banked so I have to find ways to use it up. I know, a terrible terrible thing to have to do!

Yeah, this snowstorm is going to be an ugly one - rain and snow mixed - at least it's on a weekend so I don't have to drive in it. And the snow from the last snowstorm was just starting to melt!
Hopefully you guys don't get it. You don't need anymore rain and snow mix.

Ok, I think that is the convention they were holding when I was there before. I'll have to consider going if the timing works out for me- I love Toronto and am very familiar with the city, and it's been a few years since I've last visited.
I'm amused by the fact that not only is David Nykl a guest, but one of their guest authors is named David Nickle! I wonder if they'll be joking about that.

Yeah, I'm going to think about it too! I have always wanted to visit Canada and now with the required using up of vacation time at work, it might be a good time to see that lovely Country and David just gives me a good excuse to go there!
Convention looks like it is a busy one, lots of activities!

Yeah, I saw that too! Got a good chuckle. First I thought they spelled his name wrong then I realized that I was reading Nickle the author!
