She's not the only one... On the one hand I feel bad for Radek, but on the other I do love that scene almost as much as the "brilliant scientist" one that happens later. ~.^

I love those two scenes too! Used to be from more of a slasher's viewpoint, although I don't slash them that much any more. But on that topic...

I used to slash them, too. Season 4 and beyond have turned that into a more sibling-thing in my mind because that's the only way I can rationalize Rodney's behavior and still like Rodney. It's either Rodney treats Radek like he treats Jeannie (for the same reasons) or else Rodney's a two-faced little toad.

I'm sticking with sibling rivalry. ^^

But on that topic...

Here are some caps from The Scene, which showcased all the many, many reasons that "Tao of Rodney" is a million times better than "The Shrine." "Tao" was all about humanizing Rodney and demonstrating his (oft-hidden) affection for those around him and that that affection was reciprocated, and "The Shrine"... I'm not sure what "The Shrine" was

I am still fuming over that!

We got to see the Shrine at the Chicago convention a few hours before it air'd on TV. People were disappointed that Zelenka just got a walk through. Someone asked David about it during his talk on Sunday. He hadn't seen the Shrine so he didn't know all of his scenes were cut so the first he heard it was Sunday on stage. He joked about still getting paid for his work but I suspect as an actor it still had to be somewhat disappointing to have his work cut. At least the fans told him that they missed him in the episode.
He didn't know why his scenes were cut and said the one big scene he was talking to Rodney about the ninth chevron.
Someone else in the SG franchise posted on their blog how disappointed they were the scenes were cut, they were cut for time, not content and he hoped the scene would make it in the deleted scenes on S5's DVD's. Sounds like it was a fun one!
