I got the impression I wasn't welcome here - I posted a bunch of pics of David and people came and posted and went and didn't even acknowledge me or my pics...so I figured newcomers weren't wanted here

The videos were great. I can hardly wait to meet David in about 6 weeks, he looks like he is alot of fun on-stage.

You really should give all the poster some time before posting, deleting and then leaving. I for one never saw your post with pictures because it was all done while I was at work, so how can someone comment when they didn't even see the pictures and then when I got on-line after I got home from work, I saw your *leaves* post. I actually subscribe to this thread and checked my home e-mails from work during my lunch break. When I saw your orginal post on e-mail I was excited to get to see some new David pics when I got home but they were gone.

People are not delibertly ignoring, everyone gets caught up in their own enjoyment of posting Zelenka, doesn't mean you are intentionally being ignored.

So if you feel so inclined to post them again, I would love to see them!

I was a little confused when I saw you leave so suddenly, too, 'cause I thought somebody had said something to scare you off. I'm glad you're back and I've got to get over to the in-laws house (with the super-fast download modem!) so I can see the vids!

As for posting, I do all my Gateworld surfing at work and have to "thunk & duck" a lot of the time 'cause my supervisor has to walk thru my area quite a bit. [I wonder if this makes Zelenka-thunking a dangerous hobby! ] My immediate cube-mates don't care what I'm doing, but the Boss does! (The one good thing is that I'm in data-entry 'cause she doesn't do any heavy investigating as long as she hears keyboards clicking! The bad thing: our entry screen is a black backgroud DOS screen and the Gateworld forum screen is white ... sort of a big difference as you're catching the view out of the corner of your eye! ) Anyway, yeah - sometimes it takes about 24 hrs or so for people to see your posts & actually make comments on them, so don't worry too much! We're all happy to meet ya!

Oh, & thanks everyone for all the new pics! I over-did it on Season 4 this weekend - I don't think I left the sofa all day yesterday! (And, the hubby didn't have too much to say when Radek eps came on ... he just shifted over to the far side of the couch & let me have my moments! What a good boy! He gets a cookie! <pats him on the head>)

I assume that's me? Hey Tal, I was in the same situation as you were, just dropping off some pics even though I don't frequent the thread. If you had looked at the previous pages you would have noticed that.

Besides, you did not give me any time to comment, by the time I put up my last picture post your pics were gone already. People are often in a hurry when skimming the forum, and usually if they don't catch a cool post on the first pass they will on the second. That's the way this works.

Wow, the second pic is not exactly the best pic, though Carson looks pretty nice.

Wow, you're lucky, I can get fired for doing blog or forum stuff at work, even on my lunch break and the boss doesn't even have to see it. Usually you just get a warning but they do keep track of how much time each computer spends on the internet and bosses get information e-mails if you go over a certain amount so if is a persistant problem it goes on your performance review. I have seen people fired but that is for passing porn or hate jokes (yeah some people are stupid enough to do that at work where computers are electronically monitored.)

Hey Tal...don't worry, I get the same feeling in the JFT/Whump thread all the time...there seems to be 'cliques' wherever you go.

I don't give a toss, i just post anyway - they don't OWN Stargate Atlantis or the characters - tell ya what tho, best thread is the "Kirking" one where my off-beat sense of humor is truly appreciated!!
