My daughter's off to the Isle of Wight again this year with the school, she love it so I guess kids just love going anywhere with a group of friends
Especially girls! I love this age group because I can fit right in with them on this trip! I have to be the head adult and the radar will be going 24/7, however I can still have fun and it won't be all work like it is when they are younger!

Wight? Isn't there some kind of prison there?

Yep, Parkhurst, Ronnie Kray was the most famous inmate
The town I grew up in had the State Men's Prison. I got to tour it, it was really a unique experience and one that I wouldn't want to experience again. Our adult advisor's husband worked in the maximum securty there and we got to take a walk out on the wall, big mistake. Immates couldn't get close to us but when you have about 10 16 year old girls and most of these guys hadn't seen many women in years - well we became the entertainment in the yard. They couldn't get us off the wall fast enough.

I bet at night it's all about who's the cutest on TV/films/Music and so on. I miss those days with my old school friends

That and discussion about the Harry Potter books - one of the girls loves the books and so do I! I usually just listen to them talk which is alot of fun.
What's really funny is the looks on their faces when I tell them who I think is cute, naturally with the age difference I graviate toward people closer to my age bracket which according to the youths is sooooo ancient!

That movie stunk so bad but David was so good in it, especially his end.
I know. It is one of the worse movies I have ever seen! The ONLY saving grace was David. When it's on, I painfully watch up until Chief/David meets his end!
I liked his character, Chief. Though I think David would have made a much better team lead. Seeing David with a cigar hanging in his mouth, just looks so not normal.

Listening to talk is sometime more entertaining than actually talking.
My daughter is in to Harry Potter too, I'm picking up the books for her whenever I can now
I know all about "He's sooooooooo old"
In my youth group, not a chance. Zelenka's got too much chest and facial hair for them. The guys they thunk can barely shave.
Plus they don't even like Sci-fi - blasphmey I know!
Not like scifi!! *runs screaming for the hills* How is such a thing possible?!?
And I must have been such a complete social oddity when I was a teen. I didn't thunk any of the 'teen idols' of the time. I was thunking men old enough to be my father. RDA, Scott Bakula, Harrison Ford, and others. I'm fairly certain that I would be thunking Radek too if SGA was on in the early '90s.
