You're a school teacher, right? Got to be tough to find that calming time when you need it. The kids all have so much energy!!

At least at my real job, I can find a quiet area, block off my door entry, etc. to get some down time if I need it. Not so easy to get that downtime when you are a teacher.

So here we are...2008 and my first post of the year.

Hello gang!!!

10 days in, two exams done, one more to go, one production to go and once again I'm playing a guy at some point...(So glad they put me in 'Consider Yourself' - I'm at the back, on a platform, playing a posh person... Again!!!) anywho got measured for my costume as Mrs Bedwin and was chuffed to finally find out that my height is 5,4.



It may not sound much but when you've been told you're 5,2 or 5,3 by everyone in your family its nice to be a wee bit higher.

I should be in bed - tend to go to sleep at 10 these days since my alarm goes off at 6.30 (I used it for the first time on Tuesday and fell asleep during college ) but I was being bugged and bitten by the script bunnies so I appeased them and wrote a three page trailer for a script called 'Milieu'. If you think that's bad, the last time those bunnies got hungry I ended up writing a 42 page Doctor Who script...and then had to write it again when a vengeful bunny clicked on the exit before I'd saved it.



How are we all??? Coping with the after-christmas come down???

The meeting was part of a monthly meeting with all the leaders in my unit of youth groups. On top of having my own troop, I manage the rest of the unit so I have over 400 youth that I work with and set activities and events for. One of the volunteers is stressed out, overloaded, not listening to others, not asking for help, not accepting help - trying to do it all alone - and had decided since I am the head cheese of the unit, that she was going to explode at me, which she did big time this weekend. I was expecting her to carry it over last night because she was really really pi$$ed, but she didn't. *swipes forehead - whew!*
Thank god for the power of Zelenka - the calming force apparently stretches out to people around me!

Nawwwww. McKay is a piece of cake compared to her. Difference being McKay is always like that, he wears it on his sleeve and you know that he is going to blow...she, on the other hand just keeps it all inside and you don't know when she is going to blow....

Though come to think of it, with her and me side by side, you would probably have the female version of the Zelenka and McKay hour!

Well, with Torchwood and Ski Jumpin there is hope!
I ventured on an episode thread last week, and got a quick reminder why I usually avoid those threads. I would love to talk about episodes but so many people don't know how to have discussions, people don't have to agree, just be respectful. I love hearing other people's viewpoints but not if they are belittling each other.
