I doubt he will do the Chicago con because it is a Creation con. I did contact Creation to see if they could get David and they said they would love to have David but were not able to get him. If you look at the cons that David does attend, they tend to be the fan run cons where he gets to spend more time with the fans. Creation cons are fun, you get to meet more people and they tend to get alot of the actors, however all contact with the actors is short and rushed. Any extra time with the actors such as the evening or breakfast event you have to pay extra for and even that time is very short.
David did a con in New Jersey last November, so he may do that again next year, however that is pretty far to travel during a financially tough time with the Holidays and my daughter's birthday so even if he did go there next year, I probably couldn't go.
There is a fan run con here, about 20 miles from where I live in late February. Stargate actors have attended it in the past - Hammond was here last year. I only recently found out about the con so I have never been to it but it looks good. I plan on going this year just to see what it is all about. It is way different than a Creation con. They have activities well into the evening, kinda of nice. David asked for some US conventions ideas in his blog and naturally I passed this one on.
I could take him snowboarding when the convention is done! It's only a few miles from the Hotel!

LOL, no nothing private, just fangirlish! I don't have a scanner so I can't scan it in and I won't use the scanner at work because that goes to a server and the picture would not be private and my love of Sci-fi is the last thing I want my co-workers to know about since most are not Sci-fi or SGA fans.

David is really great with his fans. Makes me want to meet him all that much more!
